"A clean and lovely cottage in a quiet and serene environment."
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that could improve this would be that the hot tub be undercover so it could be used when it's raining. But this didn't impact or affect our stay at all. I would 100% recommend this property for its location, quietness and cleanliness.

"A beautiful comfortable warm cottage in a perfect location."
We loved that we could do country walks with our dogs straight from the cottage and also enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub. Owners were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. We hope to come back here for another holiday!
Many thanks for your kind feedback. We look forward to hosting you again! Property Owner

"Lovely property."
Very spacious. Nice touch of chocolates, bubbly and milk on arrival. It's a bit more remote than listing says and access from village is up long single tracks. Would benefit from a second bedroom. Kirby Lonsdale is beautiful.
Hi, glad you enjoyed your stay! Just wondered what you meant by "Would benefit from a second bedroom"? As it has three! Did you mean a forth bedroom? Many thanks for any response. Property Owner

"Great place to stay ."
. nice touch with free bottle and milk in fridge at arrival .. lovely lady came over and introduced herself and put us at ease.. apart from the glorious rain had great time . Would stay bit longer next time. Didn’t get the chance to use hot tub
Hi, Apologies this response is so slow! I don't often go on the hub. We're very glad you enjoyed your stay. Just out of interest, what would you recommend we did/included to improve our rating? Hopefully see you again. Many thanks and merry Christmas Duncan Mills. Property Owner

"Super place."
Lovely setting, very comfortable and peaceful. The photos don't do it justice. The only let down was a few more cooking utensils would be useful and more comfortable pillows but otherwise couldn't fault it.
So glad you enjoyed yourself! What would you recommend in terms of utensils?! Property Owner

About the location
KIRKBY LONSDALE
Kendal 9 miles.
An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country".
