To add to other comments, the exterior photos are a little deceiving in that the back yard area looks to be attached but is actually across the road and you will have neighbors in the same building on both sides. Would highly, highly recommend as it is a great property with lots of space and some nice high end features! Thanks for letting us stay!

  • "We had a lovely stay here at the end of June for a week."

The clock tower is an amazing place to stay, the location is brilliant. Great for walks and cycling. The welcome gifts of chocolates and prosecco, the tea, coffee, sugar and milk were all welcomed by us all, so thank you so much. The facilities are fantastic, so we wanted for nothing. Also, the lovely owner who maintained the hot tub every morning, would also fill the bird feeders in and around the beautiful garden, and it was a delight to watch the birds and squirrels (albiet greys) frolicking around.

  • "Absolutely amazing property for our stay."

The kitchen is fitted out beautifully with everything you could possibly need to entertain is provided probably one of the best I've stayed in. The log burner is fab in the very cosy living room. Beds were super comfy and the snug on the 1st floor is a great place to chill in the evenings or mornings when gathering with friends and family. The hot tub is a fab size and spotlessly clean , beach towels are also provided which is an added bonus. Take time to read the welcome book this gives you all the info you need very helpful. Thank you for the chocolates and tea coffee and hot choclate supplies nice touch. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be booking again. We met John the owner as we was leaving lovely man thank you, your family house is beautiful !

  • "We had a fabulous stay."

The Clock Tower has everything covered. The place was picturesque, and the building was huge. All rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is superior to many we have stayed in, with everything you would need to cook a three-course meal if needed. All towels were included, plus separate towels for the hot tub. The Hot tub had been checked over whilst we were out, we thought that excellent. Plus another nice touch was the gift of box of chocolates left on arrival in the kitchen. The beds were comfy and bedding of top quality, we all have the best sleep as it's so peaceful. The Bathrooms are arge and easy to manouvre, showers perfect and lovely and modern. The Garden was well manicured and had lovely setting and everything covered for a barbeque. Parking was great, I think we were the only people there for the 3 nights we were at the Clock Tower, so it was very peaceful. We loved the spiral staircase, but found it a little difficult, as we are an older crowd ranging from late 60's to late 70's. But we managed perfectly even with mobility issues. Overall, this was a superb stay, with everything in reach within a 15 minute drive, (small towns in the lakes etc.with bars, cruising the lakes and wonderful restaurants) It's truly an incredible place. Thank you.

We’re glad you enjoyed your weekend at Clock Tower. You’ll be welcome back anytime. Charlotte & John Property Owner

Easy walk into Cartmel for a few drinks and food. Would highly recommend, the negative reviews don’t really stack up, it is definitely as advertised and we never saw anyway else at the property!

  • "Fantastic week long stay at this property."

House was extremely clean and tidy when we arrived. We loved the "little touches" that this property has, and you can tell that the owners haven't skimped on the quality of the items that they've purchased for the house. Lovely outside area, and also some fantastic walks around the local area. The Hot Tub is a great addition and was maintained every day.

  • "Beautiful property, located in a lovely place."

Wouldn’t recommend for families with small children/toddlers. The beautiful spiral stair case is lethal for small children. Hot tub is not private. It’s situated at the front of the property within the car park which is utilised by other properties. Property owner seems a little obsessed with it and not Particularly friendly. Attended several times a day and even tested water when we were in it. This left us very uncomfortable and unwilling to use it again. Wouldn’t stay at the property again.

It’s really comfortable, perfectly clean, and has everything you will need. The kitchen in particular is very well stocked with utensils, plates, glasses etc. The hot tub is great too. It’s a really quirky property and it feels like the owners have put a lot of thought and live into it. It feels like a home away from home. It is really well situated as well so close to a lot of great pubs to eat in, shops etc. I would really recommend it!

  • "Excellent property."

Great location for exploring nearby town(s). Very well equipped kitchen and other facilities - everything had been thought of. I don’t recall reading in the description that the two upper floor rooms were in the eves and this was a little struggle with two 6ft-plus guests but it was manageable for a couple of nights. A great find. Would recommend and will be back
