  • "First visit to the cottage and will be booking again for March and November 2025."

Absolutely spotless, so spacious and warm. Lovely welcome basket on our arrival which was really handy, coffee, milk, tea, biscuits and fizz!!! thank you. The cottage is in a great location straight into the village. Great size fridge and 3 drawer freezer, always handy to know as i always have a shopping delivery to the cottages we stay at. If you want to know more i'm happy to help x

  • "A lovely spacious bungalow very comfortable and clean."

Everything provided for a relaxing holiday. Ideally situated in a peaceful quiet area of Cartmel village with shops and cafes just a short stroll. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the near future.

  • "A really lovely cottage."

The house itself is in a great spot and is well laid out for a small family, but it's the little touches that complete a stay like this. Thank you for having us!

  • "Lovely property and very well located in a really nice village."

Property very clean and very well equipped. we had a lovely stay there and would recommend and also would return. Only suggestion I would have is that there were only 2 chairs in the beautiful garden, yet it accomodates 4 people. Two additional chairs and maybe a table would make a big improvement.

Thanks - added a garden table and chairs, agreed it’s really needed to enjoy the garden when the weather’s good! Property Owner

  • "Accommodation of the highest quality."

Only improvement would be ventilation to the utility room. Damp from countless wet jackets and muddy boots. Otherwise, location, cleanliness and facilities 10/10

  • "An excellent house with great facilities."

It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a great relaxing holiday. The kitchen dining area overlooking the lovely garden was where we liked to relax. It was amazing. The wet room and hoist were excellent for my son who is a wheelchair user. I would definitely recommend the property.

Really delighted that you found the property good for your son. We’ve tried hard to set it up for wheelchair users - one of us is quadriplegic and we need the use of a hoist - but more than aware that each wheelchair user has their own capabilities and bugbears. Please do let us know if there were any improvements we could make from his perspective. Property Owner

  • "This is a beautiful property with a 5 minute walk on the flat to the Priory, shops and lots of really good places to eat."

The electric aga is a learning curve, but there is an excellent microwave/oven/grill. Everything is supplied with some lovely treats. Cartmel is a very pretty village with a strong reputation for food. Grange is nearby with more shops and a lovely walk along the front looking over Morcambe bay. It is within easy reach of the Lake District. We spent a lovely day at Holker Hall, beautiful gardens.

  • "A beautifully appointed property with the added bonus of great features for guests with mobility issues."

Very comfortable, spacious rooms that are light and airy, but feel warm and homely too. Lovely décor throughout. Lots of thoughtful touches, even a bottle of delicious prosecco to welcome us and plenty of useful info and tips in the welcome pack, were very much appreciated. We enjoyed the countryside views from the main bedroom and its ensuite, accessible bathroom and the beautiful, glassed-in dining/seating area overlooking the garden is a wonderful space to enjoy - in any weather! The main seating area with its log burner is very comfy and cosy too. A great location just a short, easy walk from the village centre of picturesque Cartmel with its great choice of eating options including lovely cafes, pubs and other foodie delights. Well situated for Morecambe Bay and the Lakes. We really enjoyed our stay, would thoroughly recommend it and hope to be back again!

  • "Lovely cottage, plenty of space and very well kept."

Electric AGA and log burner with logs provided was a great addition. Cartmel is an amazing location with plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from, a kids play park and not far from Windermere for trips out.

  • "The property was excellent and in a really good location, it was clean and well equipped."

The kitchen was fitted with an Aga which did take a bit of time to work out, it did have another combi microwave which did work well. A very minor problem was the lighting in the property, both my wife an I enjoy drawing and reading and struggled (so we had to go to one of the excellent pubs instead, its a hard life!!)

  • "Pembroke was clean, comfortable, warm, and gave us superior living space for the most miserable weather in December 2023."

We wouldn't hesitate to go again. It was a luxury to be somewhere so quiet, especially at night, without the sound of a passing car. We enjoyed the large living area, the facilities, and the outlook. Thank you!
