"The apartment is situated right in the heart of Kendal, ideal if you just want to park your car and forget about it for the duration of your stay."
The apartment is beautiful, a mix of modern and old. It is light, spacious, clean and freshly decorated. The bedroom in the roof space is an amazing feature, a real ‘wow’ moment when you walk in. There are a few disappointments. One, the alleyway down to the main entrance of the apartments is dirty and crowded with wheelie bins that stink. The stairs upto the apartment are also in need of a thorough clean and there is a stuffy smell of damp close to the entrance door. Parking is difficult, so I would recommend you pre-book a space via ‘Just Park’. Despite a few disappointing features I would definitely stay at 3 Old Pharmacy Court again and would highly recommend it. It really is a beautiful apartment.
Thank you Andrew for your feedback. We are in contact with the building property management team to address the communal stairwell area issues (we clearly do not own or control that) I believe there is a painting refresh due soon and this will no doubt cover the small damp area on the lower ground door. Re the public access alleyway and the bin area these are points we have raised with the local council a few times and again we will push them to attempt to keep these areas cleaner. We are glad these points didn't detract you from wanting to return and hope to see you again in the future., many thanks Mike & Alex Property Owner

"We absolutely love 3 Old Pharmacy Court."
The quality of the accommodation, equipment and facilities are of a very high standard. The apartment is extremely clean and well maintained. Fantastic location and proximity to the Lake District. We cannot fault this accommodation at all and hope to be rebooking soon. Just one small suggestion we find the kitchen table a wee bit small and would recommend a drop leaf table or a further fold up table which could be stored in the cupboard or under the sofa. We look forward to coming back soon.
Thank you Sian for the lovely feedback. We are glad you liked the flat and had a good time. Re the table , we will look into getting something suitable to store under the stairs . We hope to see you again in the future many thanks Mike & Alex Property Owner

"Very cosy top and attic floor flat right in the heart of Kendal."
Therefore within a stone’s throw of shops and numerous restaurants and pubs. Parking fairly easy at reasonable long term rates in Dowker Street Car Park which is right behind the property. Everything clean and functional although agree with reviewer who pointed out lack of blinds/curtains in sitting room and especially bathroom seems a little incongruous. Also worth pointing out 1. A scaffold to the front is present at the moment. This had no effect as no work was in progress but might make the lack of window blinds acute were work to be conducted 2. Access is by 39 steps which might challenge the less mobile. Probably not possible to make adjustments. 3. Recycling restricted to cardboard and paper although there are other places nearby that can accommodate this need Would book again if only because location is unbeatable and the property is clean, well-equipped and of some charm.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your time at 3 Old Pharmacy Court. We take all comments on board. Thank you- The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Thank you Robert for your feedback. As the flat is the top floor in a period building we can't do much about the stairs i'm afraid, although I believe this is mentioned in the property description. The scaffold works had been completed some time ago and they are just waiting to be taken down, when no guests are booked in. The blind issue for the lounge is being looked at but the window bay/sash design makes it almost impossible to use a standard blind or curtain within the recess. We actually quite like the way the bathroom is, as it allows you to see the full landscape of the hills and Kendal castle and feel blinds would ruin this framing. We have tested this and as the flat is so high with nothing behind, no one can see in at all, from any location. We have contacted the local council about the recycling and it is with them. many thanks Mike & Alex Property Owner

"Absolutely beautiful cottage."
In a great location. We found it odd there was no curtains or blinds in the living room , kitchen and bathroom. It was absolutely boiling the sun was shining all day and it was very uncomfortable. Definitely needs blinds etc. Also summer quilts Not Wi tee quilts in June. We dud look for sheets but nothing to use. Sorry for the negativity… would stay there again. Loved it.
thank you for the feedback. We have sorted the sheets issue for the summer. The window scenario in the lounge we are looking into, as you may have noticed the design of the window bay makes it almost impossible for any normal, standard window blind/curtain to fit. many thanks Mike & Alex Property Owner

"A great little hideaway cottage but central to all amenities in Kendal and an ideal base for going out to explore the Lakes."
You get a real homely, comfy feel the minute you walk in to The Old Pharmacy and there is everything you need at hand. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped and although we went out for a couple of lovely meals as recommended in the notes, we did use the facilities to cook a meal. The open plan area also combining the lounge was excellent and the 3 piece suite was very comfortable for chilling out at the end of a strenuously hectic day walking. A well appointed bathroom with a view whether your choice is bath or shower and there was plenty of hot water too with all towels provided. Last but not least that big king size bed was like a magnet in the morning, so very comfortable. All the extras and welcome box were very much appreciated too, thank you very much.
Thank you for those kind words Paul We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in the future. best wishes Mike & Alex Property Owner

"Accommodation was excellent."
It was very clean. Very close to the shops but parking was tricky. Also it would have been nice if there were curtains/blinds in the living room and bathroom.
