"Deb, the owner welcomed us through a pre stay telephone call."
She stayed in touch to advise of an unplanned electricity outage which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have selected a nicer cottage. Lovely local walks, ideal location for the Lake District or Yorkshire Dales and with an enclosed garden for our dog. Thank you.

We had a wonderful family time, thank you. All facilities required, just wish we could have stayed longer. Fantastic walk to the nature reserve which we did twice daily! Thank you for the recommendation. We hope to be returning next year, thanks again.

"My partner and I spent a week in Rosemary cottage with our doggy Mags and we had the best time."
The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the log fire was a real treat to sit and relax with on a chilly evening. There was everything you needed and more. The garden was lovely and chilled and lovely to sit out in on a sunny evening. We also were very fortunate to spot 2 deer out the back of the cottage in the evening. The country side around the cottage is stunning

"The cottage is comfortable, well-presented and in a great location to explore the Lake District and Dales."
We'll certainly be back.
-
"We so enjoyed our stay at Rosemary Cottage, it is comfortable and well equipped, with a lovely garden and friendly neighbours."
The cottage is situated in an ideal location for exploring both Cumbria and Yorkshire. If you are in the vicinity of Kirkby Stephen, the Black Bull at Nateby, is excellent for lunch. Personal communication from the owners was very welcome. We hope to be back and would certainly recommend a stay at Rosemary Cottage.
-
"Lovely homely cottage very well equipped."
Great range of books and maps for enjoying the local area and beyond. fantastic gardens especially when taking dogs. Friendly neighbors and peace and quiet. Excellent Motorway links to The lakes and The Dales. Highly recommended for a chilled out getaway.
-
"A lovely comfortable cottage, a real "home from home" ."
We very much enjoyed our stay, lovely comfy bed, good woodburner, kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed. Even facilities for washing down dirty dogs! The only thing we would have liked to be different, was that there was no heating on when we arrived at 8pm on a chilly March evening. It would have been more welcoming to arrive at a warm house. However, once it had warmed up, the cottage was lovely and warm and cosy!

"A wonderful cottage, really well kitted out which makes all the difference."
Everything you could need is already there and the little touches like there being cooking oil, dishwasher tablets, handwash are all such a help when you're self-catering. The living room is lovely and comfortable with plenty of seating. Bedrooms and bathroom are lovely too. The cottage is really well-located, with Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Windermere and Carnforth all in easy reach. It's perfect for dog owners with an enclosed garden and loads of walks nearby.

"Rosemary cottage is the most amazing place to stay."
A true quaint cottage experience... fully equipped with everything you need... a home from home. Deb as thought of everything you could possibly need down to clogs at the back door for taking your dog in the garden.. Tons of literature about the lakes and places to visit... even walking sticks in every size to ease the journey. Binoculars to view the wildlife and board games for fun evenings everything covered. Log burner a God send for cozy nights.... and oh that fantastic shower!! What a brilliant location we visited Morecambe, Ingleton, Arnside, Kendal, Kirby lonsdale within 30 mins travel time. I highly recommended Rosemary cottage.. one downside

"All good from our end."
Genuinely nothing to say to improve on. Thank you!
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."
Beautiful surroundings with excellent walks for families right on the doorstep, lovely back garden space with wildlife nearby; we spotted deer just over the back garden wall. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and plenty of local information at the cottage.

"Fabulous cottage, full of character and charm."
Great location for days out, local walks and clean air.

"Rosemary cottage is a lovely home in Burton-in-Kendal."
It has all the facilities you could ask for and the owner has great communication and it was clear that she really cares about her guests. The furniture was very comfy and the fire made the rainy days extra cosy. The garden was great for our dog. It was fully enclosed with lots of areas to explore. The cottage is in a great location- 30ish minutes to Windermere and then about an hour to Coniston and Ullswater- and walkable to pubs. The cottage is on a quiet lane which is a nice break from city life. We would highly recommend!

"This cottage was such a unique find!"
It was cosy, comfortable, clean and had such wonderful period character and charm - we absolutely loved our stay and so did our dog. So much effort had been put into adding gorgeous homely touches and providing llors of local information and the communication with the owner was fantastic. It gave us a perfect holiday!

"This is a great little cottage probably the best equipped I’ve ever stayed in."
The kitchen has absolutely everything you need, there is sky TV and wifi and good phone signal. It is perfectly located near good road links but in the country side. It takes 10 minis to drive to Kirby Lonsdale, 20 mins to Windermere and 25 to ingleton so there is the whole of the lake district and the Yorkshire dales to explore. On the immediate doorstep is a beautiful canal and Farleton Fell for walks from the door . Good shops and restaurants are 10 mins away. We found this house and area by accident but are really glad we did and will definitely return.

"There was a sight smell in the cupboard under the stairs."
we couldn't work out what is was. Only faint though...
Thanks for letting us know, it turned out that it was coming from the dyson, I think some food must have been vacuumed up! All sorted now. I'm so pleased you had a lovely week and enjoy your stay, thank you for your 100% positive feedback, we look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

"Rosemary Cottage really is a home from home."
It is charming on the outside and welcoming on the inside. Well furnished with all the homely touches you could ask for, including books, DVD's, a games console with games, jigsaws and information leaflets. The kitchen is well laid out and has everything you'd ever need. The bedrooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds. The modern bathroom is great with a massive shower and plenty of space. The finishing touch is the lovely garden with a table and chairs, plus a swing seat, for enjoying the views over the adjoining fields while taking in the sun. We also used the large garden shed for storing our mountain bikes, which was very useful. Overall, Rosemary Cottage was a joy to stay in and was a key element in a very enjoyable two week holiday. We would certainly recommend it and feel sure we'll be back.

"The parking for this property is on a b=country road used by farm vehicles, would advise parking up the road and not outside the cottage if you value your wing mirrors."
The owner of the property was lovely and really helpful. We left a chrome cast their and she made sure we got it back.

"Loved the way Sykes were able to answer questions knowledgeably about the property before we booked."
Then the owner contacted us directly with further information and invited questions to make sure our stay was what we wanted it to be. The cottage was really well equipped from picnic sets for the garden or taking out, cool bags, extra dog bowls and treats and so on. Garden was a delight and the neighbours were really friendly and helpful. Very relaxing holiday.
-
"Great location for a peaceful break, surrounded by fields."
Lovely outdoor space looking onto fields. Only 30mins from Windermere and many National Trust properties. We had food delivered no problem. WiFi is great. Bathroom is lovely. Saw plenty of birds in the back garden. Would definitely go again. Excellent value for money. Maybe a downstairs toilet?
-
"The very friendly and helpful owner - nothing was too much trouble."
The cleanliness of the cottage - one of the best we have ever stayed in.
