  • "Everything was fantastic and I had such a lovely weekend."

However... the key code box is the same code as the cottage next door and I found this out as I locked up the cottage in the evening and whilst having dinner the cottage was accessed by two people staying at the cottage next door. This appeared to be an accident but access was gained through them knowing the key code. I had 2 children in the cottage with me and I dont think this is safe. Fortunately it was just a mistake but had this not had been the case, it could have been a worrying situation. From thay point i removed the spare key from the lock box and took it with me to be sure no access was gained when we were out for the day. I would recommend that you change the key codes for each property and not have them the same for future guests

A short walk and you are on the shore of Lake Windermere. The cottage and in particular the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. The log burner making for some cosy evenings. We hope to return again in the near future..

  • "A Downstairs Toilet would be useful."

Thank you for your feedback. We’ve tried to utilise the property layout as best as possible, and while a downstairs toilet would certainly be nice, unfortunately the layout doesn’t allow for one. The only place it could potentially fit would be where the utility area is, which would mean losing that space and restricting access to just one external door. We do appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed your stay with us. Property Owner

  • "We loved Cunsey Mill House."

Stunning inside and so quiet and peaceful it felt we were in a private estate. Easy to get the paddle boards straight out on the lake and loads of interesting smells for a free roaming dog. Easy walk to the ferry to Windermere and to Grizedale Forrest to the West. Check coop times in Hawkshead as on line timings are not correct!
