"We really enjoyed our break."
Used as a base- Ideally located. Use of pool added extra!!! Staff from firefighters charity very pleasant and helpful

"The house is spacious with good facilities, decoration is a little tired but it was spotlessly clean."
If taking a dog the enclosed garden is very welcome, it is a shame the Charity has to charge £49 because of other visitors lack of respect for the property. Overall a very nice and comfortable stay, also the TV was great on a very rainy day.
Thank you Ian, for taking the time to share your positive experience with us. We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

"We loved our holiday at Eamont Park, the house was lovely."
Absolutely spotlessly clean and so well equipped with most things you would need. The shower was lovely. There was plenty of storage space in the house. The ladies on reception were really friendly. We made good use of the pool and mostly had the pool to ourselves when we used it, there was a jacuzzi in there too. Hours of use are limited and you cannot use it at the weekend which was a shame. There are lots of supermarkets in Penrith, an Aldi, Sainburys, Morrisons, Booths, M & S Food Hall. Penrith is about a 20 minute walk away and has some lovely independent shops there and places to eat. I would recommend a takeaway from Go Greek in the town, great food and reasonably priced. You are close to Ullswater Lake, we enjoyed days out to Keswick too which was not too far away, we parked in Keswick Rugby Club for £5 all day when we visited which was good value. There are some lovely walks around the Derwent not far from the car park. The garden slightly lets the accommodation down and could do with some attention although it was perfectly dog friendly. Only things I would say are missing from the accommodation were some soup bowls, a grater and some pegs for the washing line would be handy. Thansk for a lovely stay !
Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review, Kelly! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that our leisure pool and friendly reception staff were particular highlights. We very much appreciate your feedback on the garden area and suggested kitchen additions. We’d love to welcome you back soon, so don’t be a stranger. Thanks again! Property Owner

"A clean, comfortable place to stay, and lovely and quiet."
Great access to the north lakes area. The charity staff are friendly and helpful. Please be aware there is no wifi and mobile phone signal is not great, this didnt bother me.
Anthony, thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with us. We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again. Property Owner

"Having no internet or 4G was a real problem."
I was planning on doing some work whilst there. But this was impossible. Really disappointed!
Dear Rob We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and understand your disappointment. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we are committed to resolving this issue. Kind regards, The Fire Fighters Charity Property Owner

"The property was immaculately clean on arrival and key collection was straightforward."
There is everything you need for a comfortable week-long stay. The staff on reception are friendly and helpful. Beds are super-comfy and there is ample storage for clothes etc. It's perfectly located for day trips to all areas of The Lakes and the bus outside the village pub will have you in Pooley Bridge in ten minutes! The grounds are lovely with a river and resident heron! I'll definitely stay again. I'd say throw in a couple of comfy garden chairs if you'd like an hour sitting in the garden (which is a suntrap!).

"Nice house, the firefighters charity facilities are great with use of the pool and grounds."
There were a few patches in the house which looked like damp in the ceilings but nothing major, the garden needed some attention as it was a bit unkempt, but these are only small niggles and would just have been the icing on the cake of a great week at the property. The one drawback is no wifi which is probably what most people expect to have when renting holiday let, and the phone signal was poor at the property so hard to use data which is fine but when you have a good few rainy days and teenagers to entertain would have been great to have.

"This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and we had another lovely stay."
The house is clean and comfortable and very Conveniently located. Use of the swimming pool is a big plus for us. Penrith town centre is a quick bus ride away The property did smell slightly of smoke when we arrived, but this is not at all the owners fault. I do wish previous guest will be considerate and not smokers requested in these properties. The only suggestion I would make is that there is only four of each type of crockery – plates, bowls, glasses, et cetera. This means you have to wash up by hand all of the time and can’t really use the dishwasher. It will be great if additional crockery Cuttery and glasses could be provided. Milk and welcome biscuits/tea and coffee on arrival was very welcome. The 4G phone signal seems to be much better this year and we were able to connect the kids devices to the Internet via hotspot. However is there any chance Wi-Fi could be provided in these properties? Thank you for another lovely stay, we’ve booked again for next year :-)

"Great Location and Property ."
Will Stay again. Property getting a little tired.

"We had a fantastic stay in 12 Eamont Park."
We found the property to be very clean upon arrival and the complimentary gift basket and milk was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The beds were lovely and comfortable and there was plenty of storage throughout the property. However there are no cleaning supplies at all so guests will need to bring their own washing up liquid, tea towels, and cloths. Use of the pool was a great added bonus. Guests should be aware there are restricted times of use and lone swimming isnt permitted due to safety reasons, as there is no lifeguard. Reception staff were very pleasant, checking in and out was straightforward. We did have a few suggestions that could make an already lovely property even better. We had young children with us aged 7 and 8 and thought perhaps the addition of some plastic tumblers for drinks would be beneficial to reduce the chance of breakages, especially when there are only 4 of everything. Also perhaps providing a folder including information about the property with regards to checking out. For example what to do with bins, linens etc. In addition to this providing some information about the area, places of interest etc, or even a general guest book as they can be very useful when visiting a new area.

"We had a lovely stay, house was very clean, cozy and peaceful."
.Everything was provided for a pleasant stay.House is close to good pub with lovely food. Plus you can leave the car and get the bus into town We will be booking for next year and are looking forward to it

"Arrived to a beautifully clean and fresh property."
Few tea bags, coffee bags and a small milk left for us on arrival. What would of been really useful is if they was washing up liquid, handsoap and possibly a few bin bags left and maybe list of the nearest shops ect. Staff are super friendly and we had a great time would happily return in the future

Two minutes from Penrith. Use of the Fire Service charity centres swimming pool, gym and bar.
-
"Excellent place to relax very quiet and peaceful if you needed more action you ..."
Excellent place to relax very quiet and peaceful if you needed more action you could throw a stone and hit Penrith so all in all very nice and clean Thankyou
-
"There is about a 1m length of stair case handrail that is unusable."
The landing structure comes too close to the rail making it impossible to maintain a grip on the rail over the 1m length. This made it difficult / dangerous for my 80 yr old wife when ascending / descending the stairs. If you provide me with an email address I will forward photos to illustrate the point I am making. The back garden needs maintenance it is a mess!
-
"Very welcoming, accommodation very comfortable and clean."
Excellent directions. Equipment all good quality but would have appreciated a few additions such as grater and hand whisk.
-
"Lovely well kept very clean house in beautiful grounds."
A quiet relaxing stay with a choice of using pool and restaurant if we wanted too. Staff very helpful. Hope to re book same house if not September next year.
-
"Everything we needed for our stay; a comfortable and suitably equipped property, in an ideal location for walking and exploring the beautiful Lake District."
Would highly recommend a visit to Pooley Bridge at Ullswater Lake. Lots of walking routes and excellent eateries. Car parking charges apply, but plenty available and you can pay by contactless. Cannot wait for our next visit. Thank you.
