"Had a lovely stay here with ten people, the house was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough for our group."
Rooms were cozy and beds were very comfy. Bathrooms were mostly great apart from one very small ensuite shower/toilet cubicle where using the shower wet the entire tiny room, there also isn't much privacy as the door is glass and doesn't fill the whole frame. The kitchen was suitable but not so well equipped, definitely needs some more cookware. There was no salt and pepper in the grinders and the dish soap was watered out. Kitchen table was big enough and even expandable to fit all of us. We made good use of the hot tub, which was clean and ready to use when we arrived. Was fun to use even in cold wet weather. The front sitting room gets very cold but there is a wood burning stove. The downstairs lounge was a great communal area with a big comfy sofa and huge TV, and we very much enjoyed the pool table. The house is in a great location with some nice walks/pubs/cafes etc. nearby. Parking outside the property is never guaranteed as there are no designated spaces, a few times we had to park a 10 minute walk away, so not ideal if you are planning to drive a lot during your stay. A lot of the photos on the listing for the Willows seem to actually be from the property next door, which is very similar, but it's still a bit misleading as they are a different layout despite having the same amenities. Overall we had a great time, a few minor improvements needed here and there but still a lovely property with good facilities in a great location.

"Amazing property."

"Property was pretty much perfect!"
Great location and really comfy beds. However we were extremely disappointed at the lack of supplies at the house. We paid around £2000 for 2 nights and you didn’t even supply some tea and coffee. Salt and pepper grinder provided but not filled. You requested for the place to be returned clean and tidy bit with no cloths or paper towels or cleaning products. Watered down fairy liquid at the sink. For such a short term let and for the amount we spent I do not think that this is our responsibility to bring and would expect this as a minimum. I have never rented/ stayed in a holiday let that hasn’t provided some basic things. There was also no baking trays for the oven. These basics would have made the stay for my 30th pretty perfect. Also check out at 10am with a clean and tidy for a house of 10 I think is pretty early!

"Lovely house in a good position in Windermere."
Parking was something of an issue and finding a space was difficult. Perhaps including some essentials such as salt, cling film, foil and tea towels in the kitchen would be helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

"Great location and lovely accommodation with all modern facilities and the basement games and cinema room provides a lovely entertaining space."
The only negatives are: 1) In one of the ensuites on the first floor, it is not advisable to use the shower as this would wet the toilet and basin causing an unpleasant experience. We used this ensuite for it's basin and toilet. 2) Kitchen dining table and benches not comfortable for 10 people. We had to stagger our dining times as there were 10 of us (7 adults; 3 children) 3) Limited street parking. It is a cut through road and being close to town, many look to park on this road.

"What an amazing high end house!"
It was absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail was second to none We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this property!

"We were delighted with the accommodation at The Willows."
The house was spacious, light and airy. It was spotlessly clean, with extremely comfortable beds and good, powerful, hot showers. The kitchen was a good size for us all to sit in and cook in at the same time - more large serving dishes would have been helpful, plus a potato peeler. The weather trim under the back door is perished, therefore, in the heavy rain it leaked. The cinema room was superb, enabling us to share family films in comfort as well as have a game of pool. We loved the hot tub - just the thing when cold and even fun sitting in it in the rain! We would certainly recommend it to our friends and return ourselves one day.

"We were actually booked to stay in the Haven, but there was a leak at this property and we were quickly swapped to the Wilows, which was next door and almost identical."
The decoration and furnishings are done to a very high standard and the entertainment room was fantastic and used every night. 4 out of 5 of the large double/king rooms had an en-suite, which was great for the 4 couples that were staying. We also made use of the jacuzzi, even though it never stopped raining, however I don’t think it was checked/cleaned during our 3 night stay. This may have been due to us swapping properties though. Location in Windermere is excellent, literally around the corner from the centre, which has a number of bars, pubs and restaurants, and only a 25 minute walk into Bowness too. After a few drives around all four couples managed to get a free parking space near to the property too. For the standard and location of the property I think it is also fairly priced and we will definitely be back in the future.

"2nd time staying at this house."
Beautifully decorated and amazing location. Could do with a lick of paint on the staircase and a few more pans in the kitchen. Other than that, it’s ideal. Booked again for next year.

"This was an excellent base to explore the Lakes with the family."
We walked mainly and took the bus a couple of times to Grasmere to do some mountain walks which was excellent. Beautiful house and everyone loved the games room and hot tub! 8 adults and 3 toddlers - and all were very comfortable here. One bedroom was a little cold and we discovered it had a large chimney flue - if it could be blocked up that would resolve that issue. We would definitely book here again - central for Windermere and plenty of cafes and shops nearby. Parking - we all got parked on the street outside the house in 3 cars - no problem all week.

"Beautiful property and very clean."
Great location. More emphasis needed on how difficult it is to park as, the car park near the property had bollards up preventing us parking. Better communication needed between letting company and housekeeping as we were told that we could enter the property to find it still being cleaned. Larger kitchen bin would be helpful as it was small for the size of the property and amount of people. An additional fridge/ freezer would also be helpful perhaps in the cinema room as again the fridge did not accommodate for the size of our party. Cinema room sofa would benefit from a deep clean. All in all great stay thank you.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you had a great stay with us. We have noted all your comments and will pass them on . We will also have a look at the parking section of the listing to ensure that it is accurate. We Hope to welcome you back to The Willows again in the future. "Stunning, spacious home."
Decorated to a high level and very comfortable. The pool table, cinema room, selection of games and hot tub a great addition to keep the children entertained.we had a wonderful stay in Windermere exploring the surrounding countryside, paddleboarding and swimming in the lake. Would love to return!

"Wonderful cottage right at the heart of Windermere."
Well-equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms, spacious bathrooms and an uber cool games room at the basement. We had a splendid time at the property and is ideal for big families and suitable for all age groups.

"We had an amazing holiday at The Willows."
There were 8 of us adults and 2 little ones, and we were all so comfortable at all times! The cinema room downstairs in particular was a fantastic area for us to all hang out together. The hot tub was also the perfect end to busy days of exploring. It was also a great location to get to everywhere we wanted. Thank you for having us, we'll definitely be back again!

"The Willows is a fantastic place for four or even five couples to stay."
We stayed in four of the rooms and each had our own bathroom (one was a tiny wet room but the other three were large). Very tasteful furnishings and plenty of space. Large kitchen / dining table and two lounges, one with a pool table. The hot tub fits 4 people comfortably and is well maintained. Situated in the town centre close to many bars/ restaurants/ pubs and a 25 minute walk to Bowness. Parking can be tricky on Collegr Road but we just left the car and walked/ went by boat/ bus and train. A fantastic holiday house. Thank you !

"The willows cottage was a beautiful place to stay, however I was disappointed that the oven was such a poor spec, trying to cook a meal in it was not easy."
We also felt that there should have been a cafetière at least in the property. With most of us wanting a decent coffee in the morning we found that we had to go out for one.

"We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home."
The cinema room was great as we could all sit together. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the hot tub (even in cold weather). Everything you need is there. Locality is fab as there are restaurants, bars and shops within a couple of minutes walk. We loved it so much we are planning another visit.

"Myself and 8 friends stayed at the willows this weekend and we loved every minute."
It made for the perfect environment to get together and spend quality time. The house has been done to a brilliant standard and it was warm and cosy with comfortable furniture. The only downside was the oven was quite slow in cooking food and the kitchen would’ve benefited from a few more pans with it sleeping 10 people. However, I’ve already recommended this place to others and we’ve booked to come back the same time next year!

"After we arrived late in the evening one set of keys would not open the front door."
Thank fully the second set did I can only presume spare set had been cut but never checked for function. A few niggling issues which we could have written in a guest book had there been one. Front door top bolt does not slide across correctly as door not square with frame. No visitors book to write comments in to help prevent snags for future guests we were surprised that we could not find one. A few of the light bulbs not working (would have hoped this to have been checked prior to arrival.) Clarification of en-suite should be made clear in description. One shower over a toilet in a wet room with a sink on the top of a toilet ! Another sink right next to a toilet making use other than washing hands not practical. Drain smells on the top floor rear bathroom… and view straight into an opposing bedroom same height to the rear. Neighbours using hot tub late into night (presume this house also owned by same person)with stereo music and general noise from Windermere tourists returning from drinking venues should be made clear in Sykes advertisement. We would have liked more of a personal touch with regards to more detailed walks from the front door rather than a nebulous overview. On a plus point apart from the drain smells /toilet and a slug in the kitchen next to the window the house was very clean and comfortable and appliances excellent condition. Our main disappointment was local noise and noise from neighbours and en-suite issues.Lack of personal touch from the owners with regards to walks from the front door and poor disclosure of close proximity of rear windows facing bedrooms so our blinds were down most of the time. We don’t have access to Netflix at home so we didn’t have a personal password to use so having this facility was of no value to us at this property. We would not return to this property as it’s probably suited to young adults who would like to have a party weekend ! There was a mention of cctv at the property and “security” incase of noise so I expect we were not the first to highlight this.
