  • "A beautifully clean, comfortable & well equipped holiday let, with an ample welcome gift basket of which was a lovely touch."

    However, in my profesional experience, I would cut down on this & add at least 2 x more toilet rolls until your guests are settled in & know the local whereabouts of shops etc. (As it is a bit of a walk to the first shop). With just 2 x toilet rolls between 6 x people is a bit stingy. The views from the loft house apartment are pleasant too. Overall all, I highly recommend & we would come here to stay again. Thank you!

  • "We loved the space, light, decor and gardens at Lake house loft."

    Such a lovely position and nice walk into Bowness. It was so clean and welcoming. Only thing I missed, having a washing machine it was ok going without this for the four days but with being in the country and walking muddy tracks it would of been nice to get use of a washing machine. I would return as we loved the place but for no longer than four days due to the above. Thanks so much for letting us stay

  • "A really well equipped apartment and a welcome basket which was a generous touch."

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, well located for walking into Bowness but giving us a quiet space to relax as well. Saw deer in the wild area next to the apartment! Would definitely recommend to friends & family.

  • "We loved the way that the apartment was furnished so colourfully and thoughtfully - *pictures, cushions, gorgeous turquoise sofas!"

    etc - really making it feel like a home. And the general layout of the apartment is lovely. It was clean, warm and quiet. The garden is beautiful and the dogs loved running in the wooded corner.   • "We had a great week visiting the Lakes."

    The apartment was really lovely & perfect for us & our dog. It had lots of space, peaceful, nice decor, great location, cosy & had everything you could need and more.     Well equipped kitchen and lots of info on walks and board games for a wet day. We did have an issue with hot water but it was promptly dealt with Sykes and owners also contacted me. Dog friendly and car parking.

  • "We had an excellent week at the apartment everything was well presented and superbly comfortable beds."

    The proximity to Bowness made for an early morning walk each day which our dog thoroughly enjoyed! The downside for us was the 4 flights of steps with all our luggage and the road noise in the front bedroom!

Windermere Train Station 1.5 miles: Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 7 miles.

The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, cinema, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Old Laundry Theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells.
