"Beautiful accommodation in a gorgeous setting Unfortunately building works are still ongoing so there is machinery, fences, skips etc."
around - the noise was minimal from this but it still meant there were workmen on site etc. No freezer in the fridge (usually a small one at the top) - we’d bought frozen goods with us which we had to dispose of Bed was comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in - bath etc. was amazing Huge spiders though with being so rural! x
Thank you for your comments, we are a full working estate so works are always ongoing on and around our venue with fencing, machinery, workers etc we have no skips on site and have not for a while now as all our venue building works are completed. Sorry you had to waste some of your food due to no freezer space. Property Owner

"The property was stunning, the cottage was exceptionally clean and well presented, equipped with all of your essentials, including little things like umbrellas, a welly rack and boot jack, ready for your walk across the beautiful surrounding countryside."
The bed, pillows and sofa were very comfortable, with stunning decor and finishing touches. Although there is building work still being carried out on the site, we were not disturbed by it at all. A very relaxing break, and our dog loved it too.

"An exceptional property for a lovely stay in Cumbria/The Lake District."
Modern, top spec, immaculately clean. The most comfortable sofa and bed after a long day of walking. So much space and beautiful surroundings. Can’t recommend highly enough. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back again. Our dog also loved it

About the location
APPLEBY-IN-WESTMORLAND
Penrith 14 miles.
The historic town of Appleby-in-Westmorland lies in a loop of the River Eden and is overlooked by the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the Lake District Fells showing on the western horizon. Set at the heart of the lush Eden Valley and steeped in history, this is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England and was originally the county town of Westmorland. Appleby is nestled between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales, so guests can enjoy the contrasting scenery of these two National Parks, plus numerous walking and cycling opportunities as well as the fantastic leisure centre in the town. Appleby has a wonderful selection of quality independent shops, cafes and delicatessens selling locally produced food and crafts. The picturesque street of Boroughgate, with some interesting old buildings, is at the heart of the town and links the well-preserved Norman Castle with the fine medieval Church of St. Lawrence. Appleby is a major stop on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, which is one of the most beautiful railway journeys in Britain, and still today many of the old steam trains wend their way along this line and over the historic and awe-inspiring Ribblehead viaduct. With the delightful Ullswater and the magnificent Lake District within easy reach, this is an ideal holiday location.
