  • "Lovely second stay here."

Very comfortable bungalow with enclosed garden for the dog. Super walk-in shower, well equipped kitchen, large smart tv with Netflix and Prime Video etc you can sign into. Thoughtful bowls, blankets etc provided for the dog. Treats for me as well - thank you. Really enjoyed my stay again. Garstang is a good base to explore Lancashire and Cumbria. Good dog walk down to the river. 20mins walk into the centre of Garstang or Booths has 3 hour free parking. Highly recommend Cafe Mila for breakfast and lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the Victorian Christmas market in the town on the 2nd and 3rd Dec. Only constructive comment would be 2 more wine glasses and a few more loo rolls (remembered from last time and brought my own!)

  • "A stunning bungalow situated in a lovely area."

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful accommodation. The owners have thought of everything and it's a pleasure to stay somewhere which is a home from home. The kitchen is so well equipped, with top of the range appliances. The bathroom is lovely with an amazing shower! A really comfortable home and spotlessly clean. The garden is beautiful and so well presented. A lovely welcome pack, thank you. We stay in many cottages throughout the year and it really stands out when owners go that little extra mile! We had a really lovely time and couldnt fault this gem of a place. The location is great with lovely walks into the centre of Garstang. Would highly recommend, we didnt want to leave! • "It was our first stay at this property and overall it was a really positive experience Upon arrival, we noticed the gardens are really well maintained and the property itself is spotlessly clean."

The welcome pack was a lovely and much appreciated touch Kitchen is very well equipped (although no cling film or foil so you would need to bring your own). Pleasantly surprised to see a tumble dryer which although we didn’t need this time, would be useful if the weather was wet. Again, couldn’t find any washing liquid or powder so you would need to bring your own. Bathroom is modern and water pressure in shower is excellent The garden is a lovely spot to enjoy a bit of sunshine (we were super lucky with the weather!) Bedrooms large and more than enough wardrobe / cupboard space Minor points for improvement in our opinion: As others have said the towels are tiny! I'm a size 6 and I just about managed but my poor husband struggled! Probably needs bath sheets rather than bath towels Plants absolutely everywhere covering surfaces making them unusable (side tables, dining tables, bedrooms even in the bathroom). A few are nice but this was a bit overkill! Finally the property is advertised as pet friendly but the sofa in the living room is velvet. We kept our dog off the furniture as instructed however were super paranoid about any hairs getting on the fabric. I would have relaxed more if it was a leather type sofa These are however minor negatives and wouldn’t stop us returning. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in the property and it shows. Thanks for a lovely stay!

  • "We were impressed with the bungalow from the start."

It has been tastefully modernised with quality furniture and up to date appliances. There is a spacious shower cubicle in the bathroom which we liked, and a small wash basin which we didn't. There is a very tidy and spacious garden for sitting out (when the weather permits!). Drivers have to be careful when entering and leaving the drive - the entrance is rather narrow. Overall we can confidently recommend this holiday home.

Set in a lovely quiet location but not far from the village. Could not fault the facilities although the couches were a little lacking in support, also could benefit from some fluffy pillows in the bedroom. But you can't please everyone and these were small issues. Particularly loved the garden and all the plants indoors.

It was really quiet. Fully enclosed garden ideal for our tiny dog. Shame the weather did not allow us to sit outside and enjoy it. The twin beds were so comfortable. Brilliant shower. Lovely touches to make dogs very welcome. A selection of welcoming goodies too. We enjoyed a really relaxing week, we had a problem with my husbands mobility scooter which meant he could not really get out so he made full use of the smart TV!!!! I enjoyed lots of walks along the river and canal paths with the dog. Ten minutes walk to a good selection of shops. Would definitely book again.

  • "A lovely, comfortable, well maintained bungalow!"

We very much enjoyed our stay here and it ticked all the boxes - enclosed garden for the dog, big modern tv (1 in each of the bedrooms as well), comfy settees, modern kitchen with plenty of utensils etc, walk in shower, space for 2 cars, a good dog walk nearby, and a very homely feel. Looking through previous feedback it was noticeable that the owners had taken points on board and small things were rectified eg hooks on bathroom door and a mirror. Might I suggest a few more mugs? Otherwise everything was perfect and thank you for the treats! Garstang is a very good base for exploring Lancashire and has plenty of walks nearby. A 20 min walk, from the door, along the river takes you into the town. There is a bus stop nearby, plenty of supermarkets (Booths, Sainsburys, Aldi) as well as a small market and lots of independent shops. Garstang has to be one of the friendliest place in the UK. I highly recommend a stay here - it’s a super bungalow! Thank you!

House feels like home from home and is ideally situated for good walks around Garstang and a good base for cycling. House had everything we needed. In terms of improvement I personally don't seem to sleep very well in the main bedroom, I think a better quality mattress and pillows such as memory foam would be a great upgrade. I also think thicker / blackout curtains in both rooms would work well as a lot of light comes in. Overall a nice holiday once again and I'm sure we will return in the future

Perfect for all the family (couple, two year old and small dog). We couldn’t suggest any improvements for the property itself, they really had thought of everything. Garden in particular was perfect for our dog to explore safely and also ideal for small children. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were really comfy. Very good shower too. Location was great, very quiet street. Lots of places to visit within a short drive. We went to Lancaster (nice castle), Bowland Wild Boar Park (great tractor ride), Lake Windermere and Lytham St Anne’s (lovely beach). Garstang is only 10 minutes walk. It is attractive in it's external appearance, and inside it is very tastefully furnished and decorated, making it extremely comfortable. It is equipped with just about every modern convenience imaginable. And we loved the walk-in shower. There is a private rear garden, perfect for relaxation and/or sunbathing. I did need to contact the owner early in the holiday about a simple query, and to his credit he was most obliging. A walk of around 15 minutes takes you into a pleasant market town, with a range of shops, eateries, and pubs. Around it's fringes are a range of very enjoyable riverside walks, with hills to explore in the fairly near distance for more energetic souls. The locals are remarkably cheery, most of them greeting you when passing, and that welcoming spirit is mirrored in places of business in town. A pleasant place for a UK holiday. Jim and Irene

It is very nicely maintained and sits in an excellent area of Garstang with nice walking from the door step. My dogs absolutely loved this secure garden and we had nice weather so we took advantage of the patio furniture on a few occassions. We went with my elderly mother and it suited her mobility issues very well. It would have been nice if a seat was in the shower or one made available for elderly people but that was just our choice and didn't spoil our stay. Just a few suggestion for the owner. A bit more crockery would have been nice, then we could have used the dishwasher, it wasn't worth filling it half full and a few chopping boards as it was a bit slippy on the work tops whilst preparing food. it won't stop us from returning as it was truly fabulas week.

Good location just a few minutes from nice traffic free dog trotting by the river and about ten minutes on foot into town with plenty shops, cafes, pubs and supermarkets to choose from. We had our two over enthusiastic collies with us. They had a really good time. Our only concern was the rear garden not being fully enclosed, the weak point being a flimsy gate across the driveway meaning we couldn’t sit out, relax and take full advantage of the garden as the dogs always had to be kept on their leads to prevent a great escape. With better behaved dogs than ours you won’t have a problem!

Garstang Town centre is only 10/15 mins walk from the bungalow and another 5 mins from there to the canal ~ it's a lovely town, plenty of shops and places to eat or else takeaway and the locals are very friendly. The river is only 10 mins walk from the bungalow in the other direction, great for dogwalking ~ turn right onto Willow Drive then right again onto Wyre Lane, carry on up the road, there's a gate to the right and you're there. We went to Bowness during our stay ~ well worth a visit to the Beatrix Potter Exhibition, it's enchanting and Bowness itself is wonderful. A visit to the Flower Bowl in Garstang where there's a cinema, curling rink, crazy golf, crazy pool and other fun things to do (including a restaurant) is another delightful experience not to be missed! If we holiday in this area again we will definitely book 2 Pine Grove

  • "Excellent property in a great convenient location."

Cosy 2 bedroom bungalow that had been tastefully decorated and presented at the highest quality. After a disastrous start in another property ( not booked through Sykes) our booking was accepted less than an hour before our arrival. Greeted by a thoughtful welcome pack and followed up with a text the following morning to make sure everything was alright. It really couldn’t t have been a better find. They have literally thought of everything! Can’t wait to go back again!! Thanks again to Sykes for fitting us in at such short notice too! The quality of property was outstanding!!!
