  • "We absolutely loved this stunning property, it is finished to an exceptionally high standard with beautiful furnishings & fittings, extremely comfortable and spacious."

Luxurious comfortable beds and the addition of an extra sitting room is a bonus. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the gardens are stunning.. we were fortunate to have one evening where we managed to enjoy a drink in the garden before the weather changed. The property has parking space for at least 4 cars, but take care to avoid 1 very steep corner at the bottom of the drive. The village only has a pub in walking distance but it is ideally situated and within a short distance of Grange & Cartmel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property, we would highly recommend it and we hope to visit again soon .

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed the property and local area. We hope that you will visit again soon! Mel & Steve Property Owner

  • "The house is beautiful and equipped to a very high standard, all as on the pictures."

Nothing missing in the kitchen - important for my husband who's a chef. I really enjoyed a Portmerion botanical tableware.. The garden is amazing, arranged with care and was all in flowers in June, nice far reaching views. Highly recommended. The Grange-over-Sands is good for shopping, particularly the local butcher. Kendal 15 mins by car with well stocked Booths supermarket local chain in the center (or other brands around if you need).

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and great to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Sunnybrae as well as the delights the Lake District offers. We do hope to see you again real soon. Best wishes, Mel & Steve. Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous holiday house - it's been renovated to a high standard, with lots of lovely communal areas."

We also loved the sunny, terraced garden. The property was so well equipped with everything we might need and more. Especially appreciated the ProCook kitchen utensils/equipment as we love to cook!

So pleased to hear that you enjoyed the house. Thank you for your lovely feedback and we hope to see you again soon. Best wishes, Mel & Steve. Property Owner

  • "The house is stunning, beautifully decorated and in a quiet location, which is perfect after a busy day out in the Lakes."

The extra sitting room upstairs was soon occupied by our teenagers and they enjoyed having their own bathroom. We felt the house really lacked nothing (except maybe slightly larger bath towels!) including hairdryers, games to play, books to read, a brilliant guest folder with lots of leaflets of local interest, comfortable beds, a games room, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking (although we mainly ate out) and a lovely outdoor space that we wished we could have used but the weather was against us! We would highly recommend this house for a wonderful stay and would love to go back in the future.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. It means a lot to us that you enjoyed and appreciated our property and had such a great holiday. We cannot wait to welcome you back. With best regards, Mel & Steve. Property Owner

Sunny Brae is a lovely, detached house nestled in Lindale, just on the edge of Cumbria.

With its feature stone walls and beautifully-presented rooms, this property is near the Lake District National Park and sleeps six, making it perfect for large families and groups wanting to discover the wonders of the Lake District.

Be welcomed into a nicely-decorated dining room, where you'll be able to enjoy your meals and play games round the spacious table, then step into the farmhouse style kitchen and show off your culinary exploits.

Curl up on one of the plush sofas or armchairs in the living room and watch your favourite show on the Smart TV as the woodburning stove warms you up; if you can’t agree on what to watch, make use of the furnished snug on the second floor which has another Smart TV.

During warmer months, enjoy the sun out on the furnished, terraced garden, with plenty of space for the children to play and run around.

After a long day out, unwind with a bath or shower in one of two bathrooms, then catch your sleep in either a super-king-sized or two king-sized rooms, all boasting scenic views of the neighbourhood and the countryside in the distance.

When you don’t feel like cooking head over to The Royal Oak Pub for a hearty meal and take advantage of their outdoor seating when the sun is shining.

A short drive will take you to the lovely coastal town of Grange-over-Sands with all of its Victorian and Edwardian elegance, where you can stroll through and picnic in the Ornamental Gardens, visit the ruins of Hampsfell Hospice and walk along the promenade to enjoy views of Morecambe Bay.

Head up to the famous town of Bowness-on-Windermere and go to Windermere Jetty Museum where you can take heritage boat trips across Lake Windermere.

For a taste of nature hike up to Brant Fell Viewpoint to find breathtaking views of the lake and its surrounding countryside, and if you are travelling with children, make sure to take them to meet Peter Rabbit and his friends at The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction.

Alternatively explore the many South Lakeland attractions including Aquarium of the Lakes and Lakeland Motor Museum or take a steam train through the countryside of the Leven Valley from the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.

About the location

LINDALE

Grange-over-Sands 2 miles; Cartmel 3.6 miles; Windermere 12 miles.

Lindale, a small village situated in the south of The Lake District National Park, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and just a few miles from Lake Windermere, makes the area a perfect holiday destination. Set amidst the charm of The Southern Lakes, this attractive village, with handy gastropub, The Royal Oak, makes an inspiring choice from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area. Just a few minutes drive brings you to Cartmel, a delightful village to wander around, famed for its delicious sticky toffee pudding, 12th century priory, National Hunt race meetings and gourmet restaurants. You could also visit Grange-over-Sands, a charming seaside Edwardian town. Take a stroll on the promenade and return through the quaint narrow streets with some lovely tea rooms and specialist shops including a bakery, chocolatiers, and award winning butchers. The Lake District has so much to offer, there is sailing on Windermere, cycling in The Grizedale Forest, Go Ape Treetop adventures, Birdwatching at Leighton Moss and The Foulshaw Osprey Experience. There are also stately homes at Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle and a heritage steam railway which runs from Haverthwaite to Lakeside. The Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Beauty is also a short journey away. But leaving the best till last, walking or touring in the fabulous Lake District, with its fells, lakes and tarns is an absolute must, most of which is just a short drive or walk away.
