"We were pleasantly surprised by the property and the size of it and the ground it sits in."
Overall it was a great stay but certain things could be improved with the cleanliness. Some kitchen plates, pans and cutlery needed washing before use, the tables in the lounge were sticky and dusty, the dirt under the rug in the lounge was bad and the beds were not that comfortable. That said it was a nice place, in a great location. Many thanks.
Thank you for your review sorry you had an issue with the standard of cleaning as that is simply not good enough. I have advised Lakelovers whose responsibility it is. Property Owner

"Rainbow End is a beautiful bungalow in a fantastic position, plenty of parking."
The bungalow was very clean. There is just a couple of things that may need addressing, the some of the frying pans are un-usable and need replacing, a couple of the serving/lasagne (white) are all glaze cracked and a couple of the small plates had little chips. The gas hob , central ring would not work and made a large bang when I tried to use it so really needs fixing or a new hob as its seen better days, this is only because i enjoy cooking even on holiday. We found the kingsize bed mattress very uncomfortable so moved to the back double bedroom which had a lovely comfortable mattress. I know that these issues appear negative but they have been made to help. The garden at the back has a little of the fence down so not fully enclosed so take care with doggy. The TV lost ITV channels so limited our evening viewing so maybe needs retuning. Sykes did offer to come and fix the cooker during our stay but we were happy for this to be addressed following our departure. Having mentioned all of these issues we still enjoyed our stay and worked round them and would stay again .

"Rainbow End is a fantastic place to stay - the view from the house is wonderful and the weather gave us an ever changing outlook."
The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of space for all our holiday paraphernalia. The bedrooms were comfortable and two of them had Kingside beds - there was plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. We especially liked the covered area with seating at the front of the house where you could sit and look at the view with a cup of tea or glass of wine. Grasmere was a short walk away and there are plenty of places to eat and drink without needing to take the car. I would fully recommend Rainbow End as a great place to stay.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind feedback. We are so pleased to see that you had an enjoyable visit, and the views! We hope to welcome you back again. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

About the location
GRASMERE
Ambleside 5 miles; Windermere 9 miles; Keswick 13 miles.
Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the lovely village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family has been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century, and Grasmere Lake. Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere, and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.
