• "Mayfield Cottage is an absolute gem!"

  We stayed for a week in August and it was just perfect. Close to all of the attractions and so comfortable to relax in after a busy day. The pool and hot tub were also amazing. The cottage is beautiful, everything has been well thought out and is of a high standard of quality. Set in beautiful grounds which are peaceful, we could not believe we were 10 minutes fro Blackpool prom! The owners are on site, helpful and very friendly. We’ve stayed in many holiday rentals, but this is definitely our favourite ❤️

• "A dream come true,the host accommodated my family so lovely."

  We received a warm welcome.There are a lovely family that made our stay so beautiful.The cottage is very clean with high standard equipment .The facilities are well kept and well maintained .We enjoyed the vacation and did not want to leave.We took along our 28month old baby ,and the accommodation is child friendly with a huge garden and a play area which she loved dearly and could not stop requesting to go play there.We are definitely considering going back for Christmas time. We indeed made the right decision by booking our stay at Mayfield Cottage,the host is forever willing to assist and provide help where needed.All our questions where answered instantly and just a phone call away.We where allowed early check in which gave us more time to explore the area and have a good rest after a long drive from home.

• "Mayfield cottage was quite simply magical."

  The cottage was incredibly well equipped with everything you need, the cookies and crisps were a lovely touch too. Mayfield cottage really is ‘home from home’ and the owners make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The hot tub feels very private with the use of a BBQ area to block the view from the owners house and use of the pool was lovely too. The grounds are beautiful and in a lovely quiet spot but all attractions and days out are mainly within a 10 minute drive. Ideal for making the most of your stay. We love the area and visit regularly and the cottage is perfectly located for us! We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, our only regret is not staying longer (6 days was not enough!).

• "The hosts are amazing and have complete respect for privacy."

  They were just a text message away if we ever needed anything. The cottage itself is beautiful and extremely clean and tidy. The beds are nice and comfy, and the thoughtfulness to leave a new gallon of milk in the fridge and a pack of Fox's biscuits as well as bath gowns for the shower and separate towels for the hot tub/swimming pool. The driveway is gated for extra security althought the neighbouring area seems very safe. The grounds are beautiful, with a nice garden, access to an amazing hot tub and swimming pool, although we didn't use the pool due to the weather. Supermarkets are very close by and it's only a 10-15 minute drive away from Blackpool pleasure beach theme park. I would definitely recommend staying here!

• "The property was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated."

  Facilities were in good state and supplies were provided. A relaxing yet enjoyable atmosphere. Lovely interior decoration, spacious exterior. TV in living room and bedroom. • "Hot tub was too far away from accommodation, this was particularly noticeable as our visit was end of October."

  Heating controls had child lock on so we were unable to adjust the heating controls to suit our requirements. Shower wasn't very powerful but did get nice and hot. Host was very nice and polite and accommodation was clean and tidy.

• "We stayed at Mayfield cottage as part of our honeymoon."

  Baz, Jenna and the girls were absolutely fabulous. Nothing was too much effort and each and every person went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. From teaching our daughter all about feeding the chickens to how to stroke the dog, this family have made a little friend for life who continues to talk about “her friends and Marley”. The cottage itself was well maintained and had everything and more in terms of equipment, utensils and the location was ideal.   Really handy for Blackpool and Lytham St Annes, but really quiet location. Hot tub great, hosts friendly and helpful. There are chickens and rabbits near the cottage. My daughter enjoyed looking at them and running about in the garden. Well kitted out. Hope to come again :)

• "A true gem of a place."

  A real home from home, owners lovely and welcoming. Full use of hot tub (which is the best we have had) and swimming pool, no time restrictions, full use of massive suntrap garden. Everything possible has been thought of right down to kitchen utensils, bathrobes and towels for pool/hottub. Easily placed for St Annes and Blackpool, both walkable if you like walking and footpaths all the way which is good. It's lovely and peaceful and secure with the electric gates. Make sure you buy some fresh eggs from the residential hens which are lovely, both the hens and the eggs. Had a fantastic week and it's only half an hour's drive from home! Can't wait to return, I've recommenced to friends who say it looks amazing! Ideal for a couple or small family who want a breakaway within easy reach of Blackpool but far enough away from the centre. If you want to drive into Blackpool/St Annes/Lytham/Clevelleys which are all pretty near there are plenty of free parking on side streets if you are prepared to walk a little. Thanks Jenna, Baz , Paige, Jess and Amy and not forgetting Marley the lovely dog who likes to play the stone throwing game for making us so welcome, you are a lovely family, felt like we came as guests and left as friends xx

  Lovely area and so close to Blackpool but such a peaceful place considering it was only 10 minutes into the centre! Only downfall the outside plug didn't work to plug the sound bar in for some music while in the hot tub but apart from that amazing stay

• "We had a fantastic stay at Mayfield Cottage."

  The owners made us feel very welcome and at home - right down to providing teabags and a pint of milk to enjoy a cup of tea upon arrival. The cottage was well maintained and had great facilities. We made good use of the hot tub and although we did brave the swimming pool once - it's definitely better suited to warmer months!! The location was extremely peaceful and well located - within a 10/15 min drive of the heart of Blackpool. We would come back and would highly reccommend :-)

• "Our stay at Mayfield cottage was fantastic from start to finish."

  Jen & Baz are lovely hosts. They met us with the key, showed us around and explained everything. The cottage is stunning and in the most beautiful grounds. The hot tub and pool were a great bonus and we made the most of the good weather by using them every day. The cottage has everything you need, the kitchen is really well equipped, there’s even a wine cooler and it’s very tastefully decorated throughout. We felt very comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. It’s close to both Blackpool and Lytham St Annes, both are only a few minutes drive away. We use Sykes a lot to book holiday accommodation but we haven’t stayed anywhere as nice as here and I have recommended Mayfield to all my friends and family. We’re already planning to stay again next year. If you’re thinking about staying here, book it, you won’t be disappointed.

  Property has everything you will need. Wifi a little unstable, could improve with wifi boosters in the cottage as I think the router is in the owners property a few meters away. Great location as just a short drive to the promenade and St Annes is a lovely place. Will be booking a stay again!

• "Fabulous place to stay, lovely host family, pool (unheated) was wonderful as we had glorious sunshine and once you got chilly you could get in the hot tub, which was for guests exclusive use."

  The pool area and surrounding courtyard are amazing and the large, pristine garden is beautiful. The space is shared with the owners and the cottage is close to their house, but don't be put off, we were made to feel very welcome and the facilities are excellent. Good quality furniture and beds, spacious bedroom. Highly recommended.

  The location was spot on, excellent amenities including the hot tub, bbq and pool and very comfortable bed. Wifi is a bit hit and miss but the hosts were brill and having a pub a stone's throw away is ideal. Would highly recommend to couples or a 3 person family and would not hesitate in booking a stay in the future.
