Nestled in the pretty Cartmel Valley, close to the village race course, this Cartmel cottage offers excellent accommodation, with award-winning restaurants and specialist food shops within walking distance, and is the perfect retreat for couples or families looking for a quiet holiday whilst exploring this pretty corner of Cumbria and the South Lakes Peninsula.

Originally the coach house for the adjacent manor house, this bright and elegant cottage is one of several cottages on this quiet and secluded site, and has pretty views across a duck pond and a stream which offers a good variety of wild birds.

Many charming features have been retained from the days when horses were stabled here.

Offering all ground floor accommodation, the cottage has an open plan living area with doors to the patio for summertime, and a woodburning stove to keep you toasty during chilly evenings, as well as comfy bedrooms and a superb family bathroom.

The historic, South Lakeland village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District.
