"We had a great time in this lovely cottage."
Louise was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in a lovely village and everyone is very friendly. Two nice pubs practically on the doorstep and some lovely walks near the area. I would definitely recommend and hope to return.

"Thank you for another lovely stay at Eden Vale, very cosy and the cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break."
The garden is great, and the hot tub works well once you get the hang of it! Looking forward to our next stay!

"The cottage was perfect for us."
Really cosy to return to after a day of adventures and ideally situated. The cottage itself has everything you would need including a washing machine which was handy. We also have a very energetic dog who lived exploring the garden which is completely enclosed. A lovely stay and we will.look to return.

"We have just spent 4 nights at this delightful cottage."
It is full of charm and character, totally dog proof and has a fantastic garden. It is just a stroll from a dog friendly, welcoming pub and also has a wood fired tub in the garden. It is close to the lakes and the countryside is stunning locally. Slight downside but not vital was there was no microwave although mentioned in the description. Also the shower was flooding because the filter needed cleaning. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are thinking about coming back next year for a week. Thank you for a fabulous staycation

"We’re already planning our trip for next year."
Such a fabulous area…welcoming locals…good amenities and local pubs. Fabulous walks from the doorstep and what a doorstep! Eden Vale is full of character…history and the perfect place to stay. We had a welcome package greeting us and a good supply of wood for firing the hot tub! Great fun! Thank you so much for having us. Lou, Paul, Heather, Muffin and Marla x See you next year!

About the location
BROUGHTON-IN-FURNESS
Millom 7.5 miles; Coniston 9 miles; Ulverston 9.5 miles.
Dating back to the 11th century, Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty, cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree, enclosed by shops, pubs and homes, many of them Georgian in origin. The village provides an ideal base for a walking or climbing holiday, with ample opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the Duddon Valley and the quieter Lake District fells. Norman Nicholson, one of Britain's finest 20th century poets and William Wordsworth, both immortalised this area in their writing and poetry. The village was home to Branwell Bronte, brother of the Bronte sisters, for a short time. The Furness railway line runs from nearby Foxfield and makes for an ideal day out, travelling the west coast of Cumbria. Set amidst the charm of the Lake District and close to the sea, this attractive town makes an inspiring choice from which to further explore a magical heartland of silver lakes, lofty towering peaks and lonely, heather-clad moors.
