"The property location was ideal however the cleanliness was not up to standard at all."
The kitchen was poorly cleaned. The oven was disgusting and we cleaned the top oven ourselves just to be able to use it. The standard of the plates and bowls was poor with several of them chipped. The floors were dirty and clearly hadn’t been swept or vacuumed with crumbs all over the place, including on the sofas. The amount of dust throughout was embarrassing and the place could do with a thorough clean from top to bottom. The flooring in the downstairs bedroom was stained and cover by a rug. The carpets themselves are threadbare and not pleasing. The property has plenty of character and could be ideal with a little bit of TLC. Overall, it was disappointing to have to clean a place ourselves upon arrival however it’s location was great. Unfortunately we would not choose to stay here again. I have taken several photographs of the issues we experienced and would be happy to email on should you require to see any evidence.

"What a lovely property this is, in a quiet location that is central for everything you could need."
Spacious, comfortable beds and extremely well equipped from all kitchen accessories right down to books, games, dvds. I have serious log fire envy
Thank you very much for your lovely comments - they are very much appreciated. We love the property and are delighted that you enjoyed yourselves so much whilst staying there. Property Owner

"For the price of the stay, you would expect the general cleanliness of the property and kitchenware to be a lot better than it was."
Dirty dish wear that needed to be re-washed before we used it for example. To only be left 3 pieces of wood for the log burner and no matches or lighter to start the fire was very disappointing, again for the amount of money paid you would expect to be provided with enough to last a night minimum. The Wi-Fi kept dropping out for some reason so evenings were disrupted. There was a lot of noise from the neighbouring garage which I believe should be mentioned in the description of the property as this makes relaxed days in less relaxing.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear the cleanliness was below standard. We have raised this with the Housekeeping manager to ensure no future lapses occur. Logs are not included in the property however you can purchase these at any local convenience store. With WIFI unfortunately this can be intermittent wherever you go but we would have been happy to raise with the owner so that he could have tried to resolve this and check if there were any faults on the line or with the provider. We hope you otherwise had a great week in the Lakes. Property Owner

"The property was in an excellent and in a good position."
Quiet at night so no disturbances. Handy for Windermere village and a lovely walk into Bowness. Handy for all roads when travelling round the lakes. We had forgotten just how nice The lakes were as it was nearly 20 years since we had been.
