  • "Beautiful cottage and well equipped as a holiday home."

Everything that we needed was there. Set in a good quiet position for getting about, with good transport links and also great for the lovely walks. Would definitely visit again

  • "We lost wifi for 2 days."

Long wait on the phone to contact the maintenance department. (Phone button pressing choices) We wish there was a human being at the end of the phone. Steps leading from the parking bay to the cottage. (Not ideal for elderly or wheelchair users)

Sadly the BT tower had issues during your stay with many of the surrounding homes losing Wi-Fi connection also. Rotten luck but we hope you enjoyed your stay nevertheless! The owner relations team - Lakes Cottage Holidays Property Owner

  • "Overall the property at the reduced price for a week is good."

Good location, good views. Great bath and bed. Good supply of utensils. The parking is awkward and would be far to tight for 2 cars. Internet initially wasn’t working. Small knife end was broken off. Pedal bin on its last legs. Part of Henry the hoover was missing. Annoying humming noise all night that could be heard from the bedroom, possibly from address at the rear. 2 seated sofa not comfy and small chair pointless. Despite the negative points the property is good and I would return..

  • "Fantastic holiday really enjoyed our time there, beautiful cottage with fabulous views & all the necessary facilities needed including good places to eat close by, or order in for a cosy evening!"

Parking a bit tight especially with neighbours having a large vehicle, and address needs to be clearer as we spent ages looking for Elterwater instead of Beaumont! Even asked several locals including a taxi driver none of which were any help! Will definitely be recommending you & very keen to stay again

  • "Well equipped, clean and well designed house."

Comfortable bed and excellent shower. Lovely first floor sitting room with views. We ate in so the kitchen equipment was in daily use and we had everything we needed. The bedroom on the ground floor was a little chilly. A way of controlling the heating would be useful. It did randomly come on one afternoon but we were not sure how! We chose to park in the road outside the property (which was fine) as the parking space, shared with Wastwater Cottage next door is narrow for two cars. Be aware that there are 15 narrow steps with handrail up to the cottage from the parking as well as the four into to the property. Walking distance to Windermere and Bowness, both with great facilities. The house was a great base for us to explore the area. Thankyou.
