"Lovely cottage ideally situated to explore North and West Yorkshire and a short drive from Lancashire."
We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back!
-
"Well equipped, well refurbished beautiful cottage in a lovely location."
Extremely comfortable with everything needed. Would certainly recommend.
-
"Fridge to small and freezer froze up."
cottage needs a proper clean. winter quilts 10.5 tog on beds why. woke up every morning about 06 45 by next door neighbour contracting business with traffic in and out. very limited places to put your clothes and shelf space in the bedrooms. This holiday cottage was a big disappointment and we have used your site for along time. They ask premium money, then they need to up their product.
-
"Generally everything was great, ideally located for Malham Cove, easy access and good parking."
No downstairs loo, only the bedroom en suites. We had a great week, house was very well appointed. And comfortable.
-

"Beautifully appointed cottage."
Great holiday.
-
"It was lovely to come back to our warm, clean and comfortable cottage after a day out."
The cottage was very tastefully decorated. It was well placed for exploring North Yorkshire being in a central location especially for those keen to enjoy the Three peaks. We appreciated the extra little touches to make our dog feel welcome. A great find!
-
"The cottage was lovely, recently refurbished and well-equipped."
The owner; Julia was very helpful and accommodating. Only slight grumbles - both TV remotes were playing up and possibly need replacing and the dogs barking in the early hours (2am) which I appreciate is a difficult one as the cottage is on a working farm.
-
"The property was very comfortable and well equipped, and in a great location to enjoy the Dales."
Staying on a working farm in a beautiful rural setting made our trip especially memorable.
-
"Lovely stay."
Everything thought about and prepared for our stay. Super cottage ideally placed for many walks in Malhamdale. Would return and recommend
-
"Amazing cottage everything is nice and clean, beds bathrooms very good."
Only thing I would say they need is a chest of draws even if it was on landing and a long mirror in smaller bedroom but that's us just being picky.
-
"Great place but remember this is a working farm"
-
"Beautiful cottage, exceptionally clean and maintained to an immaculate standard."
Much roomier than it looks on the photos and in a great location - close to the A65 but far enough away to be completely quiet (apart from the occasional farm noises). Friendly owner who was very accommodating of our last minute booking. Would definitely stay here again.

"On arrival at the cottage we found it to be very clean and very fresh looking, it’s clearly been renovated recently."
It’s a lovely location, the sheep dogs can be a little noisy in the morning but it’s on a working farm so some minor noise is to be expected. Otherwise lovely and quiet. A lot of thought has gone into making the cottage comfortable and functional for guests. The beds are comfortable, the showers are reliable and the kitchen is well equipped. The only thing like all cottages it has absolutely no chest of drawer storage. Nice wardrobe in one room and hanging rail in the other. Not massively problematic but mentionable. The location in the dales is ideal for getting to Grassmere, Skipton and the moors. Excellently situated for walking, running. cycling etc… too. Great cottage, will book again when returning to the area.
-
"Beautifully renovated house with everything you need for a perfect holiday."
It was lovely to come home after a walk in Yorkshire Dales and have our dinner waiting in a slow cooker. There are plenty of public footpaths nearby to go and throw a ball to our young dog. Everything was working, mattresses in the beds were firm and comfy. Thank you!
-
"Absolutely fab property."
Very spacious and well kept. In a superb location to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Lovely owners who were very accommodating. We will definitely return.
-
"1 Hull House cottage is one of the nicest, most well equipped cottages we’ve stayed in, it’s immaculate."
Very dog friendly, dog bowls and a towel had even been provided. It’s on a working farm which we loved, you’re surrounded by fields of sheep and cows and it was a joy to watch the Border Collies rounding up. We enjoyed visiting Ingleton Falls Trail, Grassington and Settle. There are lots of lovely walks and places to visit within a short drive. It’s a beautiful area.

"A wonderful cottage in a great location!"
-
"This cottage is really lovely and finished to a very high standard with high quality bedding, towels & facilities."
We also had tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits on arrival. There was also really nice hand soap in both bathrooms supplied as well as toilet rolls for the week. A very welcoming touch. We would definitely go back to this cottage.

"Delightful property with excellent facilities in a beautiful part of the country."
The owner Julia was very helpful and was there if any problems arose - which didn’t. Although it’s very peaceful it’s a working farm so be prepared for dogs barking (a lot!) and the sheep making their presence felt. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really didn’t want to return home.
-
"Wonderful cottage and extremely clean with lovely ensuite bathrooms."
We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to others.
So glad you enjoyed your visit. Property Owner

"A beautiful cottage."
Spotlessly clean and beautifully renovated and furnished to a high standard. The owner was lovely. It's located in a beautiful area with walks and cycle rides from the door. A true gem in the Yorkshire dales. Only bad thing was leaving.
Thank you for your kind comments. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes, Julia Property Owner

About the location
HELLIFIELD
Settle 6 miles; Skipton 9 miles.
The village of Hellifield lies between Settle and Skipton at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's a thriving, small community with a local pub, scattering of small shops, a renowned butcher's and historic railway station. The village nestles amongst the most picturesque rolling countryside, beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes. Hellifield grew as an important agricultural centre, where the moorlands of the Dales meet the pasturelands of the Ribble Valley, and boasted one of the most important livestock markets in the North of England for many years. It later developed into a railway centre and the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham. Hellifield is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.
