"Great cottage and great location"
-
"What a gem of a cottage, the location is brilliant with lots of fantastic walks near by."
The little extras like pet blankets and even a spice rack were much appreciated. Milnthorpe is only minutes away with a really good Indian restaurant and Booths Supermarket. Can’t wait to return

"Lovely spacious well equipped cottage in a delightful location."
-
"Fab quiet house in a lovely little village."
Plenty of walking straight from door and many places within short drive. Take essentials with you as no milk etc at property and no shop in village. That shouldn’t put you off tho, this is a brilliant cottage with lots of room and ideal for getting to many places.

Lovely cottage - so well equipped with everything - a very relaxing and comfortable break - would highly recommend - within easy reach of all sorts if interesting places

"Very nice property, in a good location for us just near M6/Kendal area."
Easy access to the south lakes area, Grizedale forest for example 45 mins, Newby Bridge 30 mins etc. Quiet location, charming property, good WI-FI (as was working on diploma as well) overall very happy. Point of note: Only one designated parking spot but space for other vehicles on the street/road in front.

"Lovely quiet cottage."
Nice big rooms. Very comfy bed so we had a good sleep. Good to have an eat in kitchen since we mainly ate in although all of the knives were blunt.
Thank you for your kind feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Appreciate you letting us know about the knives, we will get them sharpened! Property Owner

"Very spacious warm house."
Clean and well equipped - we had a wonderful couple of weeks stay.
-
"The cottage is absolutely lovely, well decorated, with original features, and was very clean."
The rooms are spacious and larger than they appear in the pictures. Set in a tranquil village, it was a welcome break from a day exploring the busy Lake District. I left the car in the parking spot at the rear of the cottage and travelled around by bus which was really easy to do. I loved staying here!
-
"This was a beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location, it is close to The Lakes and also coastline."
Leven Hall is definitely worth a visit. Neighbours very friendly. Would have been nice to have a welcome pack and a couple of dishwasher tablets!
-
"St Peters Is like home from home ."
We have tried a few cottages with Sykes Cottages and i would have to say that this is the best cottage we have stayed at 10 out of 10 Brill

"This is a great cottage."
The pictures don't do it justice and we had a great week. It's light bright and well equipped. Its a great base for exploring The Lakes.
-
"The property was excellent, it is very well fitted out and very roomy."
Parking is fine but a little tricky getting out on to the main road due to visibility. The property is right next to a graveyard which is interesting. Not many street lights or paths in the village which makes it difficult walking the dog on an evening. Ideal position to explore the Lakes and coast. Very happy to recommend this property which has some very interesting history and will hopefully stay there again.

"We thought that St."
Peter's cottage was just marvellous!! A beautiful combination of modern amenities along with some wonderful traditional features that had been retained. Our kids wanted us to buy it and move there!!! There were so many nice touches, like the little welcome box and the list of 'Top 5's' that it really made our stay special. We will definitely be returning on, hopefully, the very near future.

"It was a lovely well equipped cottage in a small village close to many local attractions."
The cottage was clean on arrival with generous size rooms and beautifully decorated. There is one parking space at the back of the cottage which was ample for my small/medium hatchback but may be a tight fit for larger cars. Overall we had a lovely week.
-
"Excellent cottage - very comfortable with good quality furniture and soft furnishings."
Quiet village but well-placed for main roads to get you where you need to go. One small gripe - there was the usual 3 saucepan set plus one frying pan - a large deep sauté pan or wok would be useful for cooking pasta sauces ext for 4-6 people.
-
"Lovely cottage very clean and comfortable the owner have provided all amenities."
We were staying in the area to go to a family Christening with a couple of sightseeing days also. The only negative thing I can say is there was no welcome pack provided for us just wondered if it was because we only stayed 3days and not the full week?
Thank you for your feedback, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found our cottage comfortable and well equipped. My apologies you didn't receive a welcome pack on this occasion. This was unfortunately an oversight by the cleaning team and not related to your length of stay as we do provide them for all of our guests regardless of how many nights you book. Kind regards, Sarah Property Owner

"The cottage was a really lovely comfortable cottage."
Very homely, clean and all amenities included. The bedding was crisp and clean. A lovely area with lots of walks and places to visit. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Really appreciated the housekeeping box left in kitchen and thought the welcome pack with biscuits milk and sugar was a lovely thoughtful touch.

"We had a wonderful stay at Peters Cottage and found it to be a great base to travel to various places around the Lake District."
The property was very well equipped with all the essentials you needed. Given the age of the property, it was surprisingly spacious, especially the downstairs areas. We stayed in the larger of the bedrooms and found the duvet just slightly too thick and heavy for us but that is personal preference. Overall, we’d really recommend this property and would stay again. Be mindful that it can be quite a tight squeeze to get to the parking space at the rear of the property, but a careful and steady driver will have no problems!
-
"The cottage exceeded our expectations both in terms of size and quality."
It was also ideally situated to access all parts of the Lakes. Immaculately clean linen and comfortable beds. The hosts had also kindly left books, board games and DVDs for the whole family preemptive of the changeable Lakeland weather. We will definitely book again with Sykes Cottages. Very highly recommended. Thank you

"We had a lovely time in St Peters cottage and will definitely return."
Just a slight negative but one of the sofa’s is very low and after sitting on a while it be becomes uncomfortable due to how low it is. Everything else is just perfect
Thank you very much for your feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return again soon. The sofas are relatively new so we hadn't realised that the feet were missing until recently. We have now fitted new feet to both sofas so the issue is now rectified. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Property Owner

"A very comfortable stay at St Peter's Cottage, with all mod cons."
Large bedrooms and large lounge and kitchen. We enjoyed our break although our stay was for a family funeral at Levens church. Luckily the sun shone on the day with magnificent views across the valley. The cottage also has beautiful views from the bedrooms. I enjoyed the church bells chiming at nearby St Peter's church on the Sunday morning. Levens Hall nearby was handy for breakfast and the deer park which my grandson enjoyed too. I would recommend this comfortable cottage to anyone holidaying in the Lake District. The town of Milnthorpe close by too for any extras one might need.

"Great house so handy for everywhere and so lovely been near church."
The heversham hotel couple of minutes walk away was great and landlord so accomodating highly recommend
-
"The Cottage was an ideal place for us to stay for our week in the Lake District."
The accommodation was very clean and also comfortable, with good sized bedrooms. Took a little while to understand the induction hob, but then we got the hang of it. It was a very quite area, which suited us, and the only drawback that comes to mind was that there was only 1 parking space, as we had travelled in 2 cars. I would certainly recommend the Cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the Lake District as it is very convenient for so many places that you can visit.
-
"Carnt fault the cottage, perfect in all aspects."
We enjoyed our week there, couldn’t have asked for anything better. Clean, tidy, location, comfortable.felt homely. Perfect.
-
"No, cottage was clean, comfortable and a perfect base for us to explore the lakes."
-
"Just returned from a weeks stay at St Peter’s cottage."
The cottage was exceptionally clean, well equipped and very comfortable. There were pubs/restaurants close by. An ideal place to stay to explore the lakes.
-
"Fab cottage, about 20 mins from Windermere."
Parking was a bit tight though round the back of the cottage. If wanting to go to the pub, would need to drive, the one within walking distance is a hotel which only accepts cash. Overall pleased with our stay, clean and quiet surroundings.

"There was no iron or ironing board which we’ve had at every self catering property so far."
Owner or Sykes couldn’t/wouldn’t help and we had to use creased clothes after washing mid week of our holiday. Also toilet seats were poorly fitted and loose and a few of the internal room doors were hard to close/open. Also access to the car park has limited height if you use a roof box for example. Website should state that. Would appreciate a refund gesture fir our inconvenience with the clothing.
Thank you for your feedback and we hope you enjoyed your stay. As per our previous correspondence, there is now an iron and ironing board in place as promised and I apologies for the inconvenience. I have noted your point regarding height, however a regular sized vehicle with roof box can fit under the archway but dimensions will be added to the website for clarity. The property had had a full and extensive refurbishment which includes new, high quality carpets hence the slight door issue due to the thickness of the pile. We will look to improve this but would note that all doors do close properly. As regards any general maintenance or snagging, this will be attended to on a regular basis. Property Owner
