  • "Thank you for taking our very last minute booking, we had a lovely stay."

The cottage is dated but the location is amazing , perfect for the waterfalls, caves and the 3 peaks The beds were very comfortable but the living rolm lacks comfort especially after a day in hiking boots. The Cavern heifer pub does gorgeous food , home cooked. The smell of dogs is strong in the cottage which is a shame but apart from that i'd still recommend the cottage . Many thanks

Thank you for your comments. With regard to your comment about a smell of dogs. No one has said this before. The cottage is cleaned to a high standard and we regularly go to check it ourselves. The only smell is of cleanliness. Property Owner

  • "It says a lot that this is our fourth stay at the wonderful Waterfall Cottage in two years."

The cottage is as fantastic as ever. On arrival it was as spotless and comfortable as ever. We loved the new front door! You get to the cottage via a footpath right by the River Doe so the sound of the water flowing along is so relaxing! Ingleton is a lovely village with all the amenities you need. There are loads to do in the area such as the Waterfall walk and an outdoor swimming pool! If you have an EV there are 6 Podpoint chargers at the library car park Overall I totally recommend Waterfall Cottage. You won't regret booking it!

  • "Wow, I had an absolutely amazing stay at the cottage!"

The location the facilities the cleanliness were perfect. I would highly recommend booking waterfall cottage. My parents have just booked to stay there on my recommendation. The only one thing that could have made the stay better was the really uncomfortable tiny sofa. After a day out walking it was so hard to lay down and relax. And I know this sounds petty but true

Property is well equipped and clean, comfortable & cosy. No outdoor space but you could take your coffee & sit by the river ( weather permitting ). Perfect place to relax & unwind. Pubs, cafe & Coop store within 5 mins walk and a small Italian restaurant LaTraviatta is worth a visit but recommend booking in advance. Ingleton Waterfall Trail is a 10 min walk away and White Scar Caves a 10 min drive. Really enjoyed our stay at Waterfall Cottage and would definitely go back.

Chiefly that the bed no longer squeaks and now the checkout is a much more acceptable 10am. Same things apply, idyllic location with the Rive Doe 20ft away from you. Ingleton is a wonderful little village. For EV owners like me there is Podpoint public chargers at the main car park. Overall totally recommend... And will be back... Again!

  • "The internal door between living room and kitchen does not close on a latch to stay shut."

All of the internal doors, for fire safety reasons, need to close and remain closed in the event of a fire. The stairs requires a grabrail of sorts at the top as there is nothing to hold to steady the ascent. The steps (3) to the front door requires a handrail as they are steep were slippy. Cosy, well equipped cottage but not for those with walking issues.

Dog owners can stroll down the safe footpath passing the front door along the river for a lovely 10 minutes off lead. One minute's walk into the centre of Ingleton for the well-stocked Co-Op, Inglesports, friendly pubs or a hike up Ingleborough. The cottage is lovely. I'll definitely stay again.

It is a lovely place for a rest, well stocked. I have a couple of recommends. I am 83 yrs old and find the stairs very hard. and dangerous? there should be a full handrail on the left hand side going up instead of the chair RAIL WHICH CANNOT BE GRIPPED. it is an accident waiting to happen. was also unhappy about the dog urine stains all over the carpet. i see in the kitchen cupboard a can of remover. not effective.. i could see all the stains and smell it. On my first visit the carpet was new, i see in the feedback several took dogs.If this is to continue please exchange carpet with vynel flooring. will want to prebook for Feb 2024. thankyou . a real pity for inconsiderate dog owners.

Parking space is very close too. It seemed very dark inside when we got there but we soon got used to that! It's got everything you need. We thought we might miss the outside space with having our dog but we just walked him along the very quiet lane. Outside pool is 5 minutes walk away. Would point out that directions provided were confusing. We were directed to turn left at a tea shop which is not there!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The premises have very recently changed to a restaurant and we will correct this on the directions. Property Owner

It was thoroughly clean on arrival and everything was provided to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Only criticisms are that the bed in the main bedroom was uncomfortable at first and a bit noisy to climb into and that I'd preferred to have had a full size ironing board rather than a table top one. But these didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

In the heart of Ingleton, so very easy to walk to shops and to the Falls and beyond. Very well presented. We visited in February and it was lovely and warm. People pass by as the path the cottage is on is a very pretty route alongside the riverbank. One therefore feels very much part of the the place. Parking is very nearby, no problem at all.
