• "The property was very clean and comfortable and very handy for everything being right in the centre, only down side was it was a bit noisy at night as right beside the pub but wouldnt stop us booking again."

• "We had a lovely break at The Band Room."

  Good communication from the owner throughout. Clean, comfortable property. We stayed 4 nights but if staying a week would have liked a small freezer, plenty room at bottom of stairs. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again in future.

• "Perfect location, just off the main street and central to Kirby Stephen for shops, cafès and pubs etc."

  Also for easy access to the River Eden and Country trails. Was a quiet location, and peaceful. The Band Room was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for the occasional meal cooked there... nice touches with a carton of oatmilk provide in fridge, teas and coffee etc. The main room and kitchen in the loft made it roomy and spacious. We really loved the wood burner, made for a cosy evening, after our cold dog walks. Gets the thumbs up, and paw paws too!

• "We had a fabulous break over new year at the Band Room."

  Peter has created a lovely, airy space, perfect for a couples and pets. Located in the heart of the town, up a quiet little street. The upstairs living area was bright and airy, with its high ceilings and multi aspect windows, the log burner added to the charm. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The bedroom downstairs was very comfy, cosy and warm, with an en-suite toilet. The large mirror with seating and plugs nearby were ideal for getting ready (not something holiday lets usually have). The shower was warm and powerful. Peter’s communication pre arrival was spot on.

  We had a lovely few days in the Band Room, everywhere was spotless and although compact it's certainly big enough for two people, it's set just off the main street so is perfect for the local bars and shops aswell as lovely local walks, communication with the owner was also good, will definitely return

• "Compact but has everything needed."

  Very comfortable and quiet. The need to park out on the back road is no great hassle. The adjacent pub is excellent and Kirkby Stephen is a good base for lots of great walking. Will happily use again.

  Handy for lots of good hill walks, and being only a few yards from the beer garden of the excellent Black Bull pub is no hardship either

  Brilliant communication including directions Please be aware of parking restrictions on High Street High specification finishes, comfy beds, great shower The open nature of the stairs may not be for all dogs but my cooker spaniel coped Good location in centre of village/town Nice touch with the information about solar panels providing hot water I was very impressed
