"Lovely property."
Modern, very clean on arrival. Milk, eggs and biscuit a nice surprise. Surrounded by lovely scenery off a quiet lane. Easy access to Ulverston, Coniston, Ravenglass. Comfy bed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

So good we booked straight away to come back next year!

"An absolutely brilliant getaway with real attention to detail and lovely hosts."
A modern, well equipped and clean space, perfect for a private holiday. Plenty of grass nearby for the pooch to toilet and a lovely fire to warm yourself with after a day on the fells. Some noise from the farm but none during unreasonable hours. I would definitely visit again! Well away from the hustle of the major towns.

"Beautiful cottage in a great location to visit the South Lakes."
Really cosy and comfy. Very well equipped cottage. Lovely touch of fresh farm eggs and homemade chocolate cookies. Love the upside down living area. It's so bright and airy. The bedroom is darker making a lovely sleeping area. Shame there isn't a king bed. The fire is a really lovely addition and is super easy being gas powered. The fridge/freezer is a good size. The sofa is super comfy as it reclines. Perfect get away for 2 and a dog. Also really great that the farm dogs aren't running about

"A fantastic little cottage on a working farm, with friendly hosts."
The attention to detail was amazing. We just needed somewhere to hang clothes, maybe a rail in the cupboard and a few drawers would help. The mirror on the dressing table was also a tad low. Would highly recommend it.

"Beautiful house in a beautiful rural location."
Close to the main lakes and also the smaller prettier lakes and villages. Hosts were so nice and welcoming and left small treats such as farm fresh eggs, a beautiful cake as a celebration for our anniversary and we're only a phone call away if any issues arose. Will definitly be back as the cottage itself is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you need. Highly reccomend!

"We stayed here early November for a week on our honeymoon and it was a brilliant cottage."
We arrived to a bottle of wine, cake and some lovely biscuits for us and the dog. The cottage is in a rural location on a working farm and we loved it. The cottage is well equipped and has everything we needed. Ulverston is just down the road if you need fuel/shopping/etc. Views of the The Old Man of Coniston from the living room window :-)
-
"The accommodation was first class, well appointed and everything we needed."
The location is wonderful. A real sense of "out of the way" but actually not too far from main roads making tarvel around the area easy. Highly recommend this property.
-
"The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed."
The kitchen is well equipped and everything is good quality. The house looks better in real life than in the pictures. It was lovely to be on the farm, and the house is in a great location for visiting the nearby lakes and walks. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again in the future.

"The cottage is finished to a very good standard, great location, very rural."
It is a working farm so I'd recommend ear plugs if your'e a light sleeper. There are many walks right on your doorstep which give stunning views across the mountains. Jo was really helpful during our stay and was just at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Unfortunately due to covid restrictons we weren't able to frequent many of the local shops, pubs and restaurants but hopefully when we get to go back again we will check them all out. We would thoroughly recommend staying here as it's such a lovely area to stay and the hosts were very accomodating. Thanks :-)

"Beautiful cottage, very cosy and clean."
It has all necessary bits of equipment in the kitchen if you want to do a bit of cooking. There is a comfy sofa to sit on and a fire place in the lounge! The owners are very friendly and helpful! There is a lovely bakery called Born and Bread in the nearby village Greenodd where you can get amazing cakes, pastries and sourdough bread. The cottage is well located and close to the south lakes, approx 15 minutes drive to lake Coniston, it took as about 1 hour to get to Glenridding and just over an hour to the north lakes if you want to do some hiking.
-
"Great base for walking."
The farm yard was quieter than we expected, just some moos. However, there was some buzzing from something, presumably a generator which can be heard in the bedroom. The facilities are great and it’s a perfect little place to explore the Lakes.
-
"Had a lovely stay at La’al Riddings."
The hosts were a lovely family. The property had everything you could possibly need and was comfortable and finished to a very high standard. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings and close enough to visit Lake Coniston, Windermere etc and the beaches. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
-
"Absolutely immaculate but completely cosy cottage."
We stayed 5 nights at the end of September and had the best time. We didn't meet the owners but everything had been thought of for our arrival. Couldn't of found a better place for our first visit to the lake district! No concerns regarding covid the cottage was spotless and being just us felt super safe. Thank you!
-
"Great accomodation and location, it had everything we needed."
Would definitely stay here again. We didnt see much of Jo and Roger as they are busy working but when we did they were very friendly. The accomodation is located on the farm next door to their house but they didnt impose at all.

"We had a brilliant time in this cottage."
Loved every second! We loved seeing the cows every morning when we woke up and the hosts were lovely and very accommodating. The cottage is in a brilliant location with easy access to all places we wanted to see. Highly recommend tarn hows and the Tom Gill waterfall - that was my favourite tarn! Would defiantly come back to this cottage and recommend to friends.

"We stayed here for a week in August 2020, we had a lovely stay here, we was provided with towels, a dog towel, all necessary cooking utensils and lovely additional touches around the cottage."
The cottage is on a farm so our dog had to be on a lead at all times and became friendly with the owners little black dog. Fab location for coniston, lovely places to eat in Ulverston which is a 15 minute drive and also reasonably close to Windermere, we drove everywhere as everywhere we went wasn’t in walking distance but we did some lovely walks in surrounding areas from the cottage and would definitely come back.
-
"Had an amazing time, loved the property and the owners were amazing."
ps. we loved the shortbread biscuits
-
"Perfect location for exploring the Lakes."
Cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard to maximise space and light. Great after a long walk to have a shower (Always plenty of hot water) and relax watching the sun go down. Cooking facilities excellent, and enough pots and pans to create satisfying meals. Free eggs on arrival was a nice treat too!
-
"Local walks such as a circular into Ulverston and back and others along Cumbria way."
-
"Really great little holiday home!"
Very friendly owners, and some very nice little touches to make us feel very welcome. If you want a break away from it all it is perfect!
-
"The cottage is absolutely faultless and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay."
The owners were friendly and more than happy to assist during our stay, whilst remaining unimposing. Gorgeous cottage in a glorious location. Would 100% return.
-
"Personal touches were lovely, very clean and beautifully presented cottage."
Owners were lovely and the location was beautiful. Couldn't of asked for a better stay away.
