"What a fantastic choice we made !"
This property was just perfect for us visiting relatives in the area .Arrrived 18th October and we had the best weeks weather of the month . We received the most generous welcome pack we have ever had! The house was really clean and had a lovely fresh smell,the beds were really comfy with quality linen.Lovely and warm with plenty of hot water when needed.We always bring our own supplies but there were plenty of towels, toilet rolls and tea,coffee and sugar etc if we needed them .The walk into Lytham was 5 minutes and there were lots of eateries to keep us happy all week including the poshest Wetherspoons we have ever had a drink in ! The communication from the owner was excellent and we look forward to another visit..Thank-you

"We have stayed in many Sykes Cottages but found Seashells Cottage to be fairly basic."
There was no dressing table in either of the bedrooms, no hairdryer & most of the soft furnishings had seen better days. We also think it very mean to only provide 1 toilet roll. However, the bed was comfortable, the cottage was situated in a nice area with local facilities & the TV &Wifi were very good.
Hi Ian, I am sorry to hear your stay wasn't up to expectations. Unfortunatey we didn't have a mobile number from Sykes, so you didn't get our usual text updates. Appreciate the feedback and we are planning to put a small dressing table in the main bedroom. I'm sorry you didn't find the hairdryer, as it's stored in the main bedroom wardrobe. I will take a look and replace any of the cushions that are looking tired. The cleaners do normally leave more than 1 toilet roll, so I'll make sure this is resolved and my apologies. Thanks for the feedback, as we're always looking to improve.

"A fantastic property."
We have booked to return for a third time as it is so lovely.
The only slight change that we would like to recommend would be to have a hand rail at the bottom part of the stairs. It would make it safer for slightly older people.

Ideal location for a short walk into Lytham ( 5 Mins).
Booths supermarket is just around the corner.
We had a walk to St Annes by the sea which took just over an hour.
Lytham hall is also a nice place to visit, it has a tearoom/cafe and small garden centre.
I wouldn't hesitate to book to again

"Seashells is a terrific house and we enjoyed a very relaxing stay."
The house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need with a great reception pack and we really appreciated getting a text with key info before we arrived. The location of Seashells is ideal with shopping, restaurants and seafront really close by. A great place to stay.

Would loved to visit again. Small points as mentioned before in reviews take care when reversing into driveway as there is a step at the back.

Very convenient to the town and within walking distance of the sea. Great to have onsite parking.
Very well maintained. Heating control easy to use.
The owners were helpful and very prompt in responding to a request for a shower mat.
The kitchen is well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and great decor throughout. A lovely welcome hamper which was much appreciated.
A fantastic holiday and have booked again.

"Great communication from the owners of this outstanding holiday cottage."
It’s in a great location for the seafront and shops, cafes etc. with off-road parking (and friendly neighbours). The welcome basket was a lovely treat and everything was provided for a comfortable rest. Can’t wait to return!

"Loved this cottage."
It was comfortable and cosy, with everything provided for a relaxing break. Bus stop around the corner, that will take you to nearby places, without having to use the car. It is also only a 10 mins walk to the seafront and Clifton street, where you will find plenty of cafés and places to eat. I would definitely stay at Seashells Cottage again.

"We visit Lytham at least once a year and have done so for past 30years, it’s a great little town with good local shops, this year we decided to rent a cottage and Seashells was just perfect."
It has great location only a few minutes walk to high street with shops, pubs and restaurants, Seashells cottage itself was very comfortable with nice beds, nice lounge area, spacious kitchen and a nice bathroom with bath and shower. We highly recommend this property and we hope to return in the near future.

"Lovely cute little cottage in a convenient location with all mod cons and generous supplies (eg loo rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets plus hand wash by kitchen sink and bathroom basin)."
Kitchen had good range of utensils etc. for eating in. There were two clean tea towels and a pair of oven gloves plus very thoughtful welcome gift of biscuits and wine, as well as milk in the fridge. Would definitely recommend and consider staying again, thank you!

Only feedback is that a grab rail in the bath would be very handy as it is a shower over a bath. There are actually a few comments about this in the visitors book so others have obviously thought it too.

Spotlessly clean and finished to a high standard with everything you could possibly need.
The cottage is within walking distance of the town with lovely shops and places to eat and also within walking distance to transport links to Blackpool and beyond. Would definitely recommend.
