The Sustonica certification focuses on four key areas: energy conservation, water conservation,

Properties that display the Sustonica badge have successfully passed the criteria,

"This is a beautiful and well equipped cottage in a stunning location."
The cottage is finished to a high standard, is comfortable and warm. The host left thoughtful gifts on arrival which were very much appreciated and a lovely touch. Middleton is beautiful and friendly, award winning fish and chip shop just across the road and co-op around the corner. We all absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely return.
We're so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to hosting you again!

"We had a lovely stay at 15 Market Place recently in June."
The cottage was located right in the centre of Middleton-in-Teesdale, so it was very e ll located and handy for the shops, pubs and restaurants.
It had a lot of character but was very modern and tastefully decorated inside. It has two good-sized double bedrooms and a small single room, each one very comfortably decorated.
It had everything you’d need and a good patio for the dog and sitting outside. We were lucky that the weather was gorgeous the weekend we stayed so that made it even better.
Well done to the owners. We loved it!

One of the best properties we’ve stayed in.
Easily fitted an adult family of 5 in kitchen and lounge, and TV in each room was a bonus.

"Our second visit to this lovely property."
The house was spotless a real credit to the cleaning company. The kitchen/dining area is excellent in particular the large fridge/freezer and log burner. The outside loo is a bonus and lovely and warm. The beds are super comfortable. We love this town, enough shops for essentials, Kayleighs cafe for coffee and cake, a great chippy and the hotel good for an evening drink. Great dog walks in the woods right on your doorstep. Barny is only 10 miles away, but a lovely drive as no traffic, on the excellent roads.

"This is a lovely property in a perfect location with everything you need both in the cottage itself and within easy reach."
The people in Middletown are friendly and welcoming and it is a beautiful village to visit.
We had an issue with the hob as there are no instructions, I did eventually work it out for myself but the neighbour offered to let us use his hob, how kind is that?
Before we left I hoovered the property, as we have a dog and always aim to leave the property clean and tidy, there was rather a lot of dirt and dust behind the sofas, including a rogue malteser, which definitely wasn't ours!
We did have a lovely stay though and would definitely recommend this cottage and will be back.
Thank you for your kind words about The Cobblers! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the cottage and found everything you needed. It's great to hear that the village and its people made your stay special.
