The property lies on the fringes of the North Pennines which is bursting at the seams with a variety of walks and trails including idyllic trails leading to Summerhill Force and Gibson’s Cave, Easter Beck, Cauldrons Snout and the famed High Force Waterfall which drops a dramatic 69 feet.

History is woven throughout the encompassing countryside; marvel at Barnard Castle, traverse the ruins of the fabulous Egglestone Abbey or admire the imposing, medieval Raby Castle which houses art and tapestries.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also easily accessible by a short scenic drive and is home to a myriad of attractions and the iconic three peaks challenge which the brave among you may try to complete!
