  • "Lovely property in great location."

Very clean and well appointed. For future enhancements the owners might consider installing an island unit in the kitchen to improve the amount of food preparation and serving space. It’s a bit tight for a full house at the moment. Also fitted sheets on the beds instead of flat sheets that don’t tuck in fully, would stop the mattress protector from moving and becoming creased and uncomfortable. Pillows are also a bit on the thin side.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your time. We take all comments on board. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "We've enjoyed a wonderful week at Bridge Howe."

Skelwith Force, on the doorstep, was our first treat, and the fields and views beyond are beautiful; this house is in a fabulous location! The little welcome packs and the bottle of red were gratefully received. We cooked in most evening and found the kitchen knives on the windowsill to be blunt; a deep oven dish would also have been handy to have! Othwerise, we found Bridge Howe to be the perfect base for our holiday.

Thank you very much for the review Kerry and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have noted your helpful comments and have bought a knife sharpener and ordered an oven dish. Property Owner

  • "Firstly, thank you for sharing your beautiful home."

This place was everything we needed and more. A serene break from reality with luckily beautiful weather making this even more perfect. The house, furnishing and cleanliness was nother short of 10/10! The beds were so comfortable pefect after long days of exploring! We had everything we could have wished for and more. Only thing maybe a booster/strap addition chair for the dining table or even a highchair. Meal times with a near two year old was particularly eventful to say the least! None the less a perfect home from home, we will definitely be returning.

Thank you for the review Ryan, it sounded like you enjoyed great weather. The booster chair is a good idea thanks and we will sort this out. Property Owner

AMBLESIDE

Grasmere 4.4 miles; Windermere 4.7 miles; Keswick 16.7 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
