  • "We stayed here as a base as we were visiting family in Lancashire."

It had everything we needed and shops and the beach were all in easy distance of the property. It was great to have a parking permit for the car too as it meant we didn’t near to park up far from the property. In fact there was only one day we were in the next street. We were mainly parked directly outside. All in all a good stay and trip.

Hi Louise, so nice to meet you, Chris and the lovely Willow, am so pleased you enjoyed your time at The Bolt Hole and you are most welcome back at any time. Happy Adventuring. Neil Property Owner

  • "My Mum, myself and our dog stayed at The Bolt Hole for 3 nights just after Easter for a little break."

We were met at the property and welcomed in where any questions we had were answered and things we needed to know were passed on to us along with keys and a parking pass. The property is not huge but is perfectly formed and for the 3 of us was just perfect. The garden is a secure shared space with other residents but it worked well for our needs which was being able to let the dog out for a late night/early morning toilet break. The owner Neil is busy renovating (very quietly I might add) another property nearby so was hand for any help or advice - we were made to feel like nothing was too small. Location wise it really is only a very short walk to the beach/promenade/shops etc. I am a big believer in reading reviews and when I saw there were not many for this property I was a little put off. Am so glad I took the chance as it really is a gem of a place.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Paula, am really pleased you & mum had a lovely time at The Bolt Hole. It’s true what you say about number of reviews, but we are still fairly new to Sykes & seems 90% of my bookings come from other sites ‍♂️ so very much appreciate you leaving one for me on here. Hopefully we will see you back up by the seaside very soon. Best Wishes Neil Property Owner

  • "Lovely stay at the Bolt Hole for Christmas."

It's quirky and comfortable. Really appreciated the gifts under the tree. There's a lot of attention to detail and it was very clean and well-prepared. Although its small it easily accommodates four people. Communication with the owner was good. The location is perfect for the beach – just a few minutes walk to the seafront. Pigeons appeared to be holding a party on the roof but otherwise surprisingly peaceful given its central location. Overall, a lovely gem of a place.

Dear Tracey, Thank you so much for choosing to spend your Christmas at The Bolt Hole, I’m really pleased it met your expectations & it would be lovely to have you come stay again. Wishing you & family a very Happy & Healthy 2024 All the Best Neil Property Owner
