You can also visit the village's The Old School Art Gallery & Craft Centre with its displays from local artists and for some local history head to Muker Literary Institute.

Being located in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales, nature-lovers will never run out of stunning walks and hikes to go on; start with Kisdon Force where you'll be able to spot the beautiful Wain Wath Force waterfall, then hike down to Cotter Force for another breathtaking waterfall sighting and why not stop for a picnic at the scenic Buttertubs Pass?

Drive down to the lovely market town of Richmond and explore Richmond Castle, a well-preserved fortress that offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, then after a stroll along the River Swale, take some pictures at the stunning Richmond Falls, catch a show at the Georgian Theatre Royala and end the day with some delicious Italian cuisine at La Piazza.

Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Muker is a village and civil parish at the western end of Swaledale, one of the Yorkshire Dales, in North Yorkshire, England. It is situated within the district of Richmondshire. From the late 19th century, Muker witnessed an increasing number of visitors and holiday makers, and today the village boasts many walking opportunities, during the months of May and June the village is extremely popular with tourists gathering to view the famous wild flower meadows, with a selection of public footpaths in Upper Swaledale. Muker also hosts a village shop, as well as an art gallery, craft shop and a café within the old school building. Originally the Vicarage, the Muker village tea shop, retains much of its 'Olde worlde charm' today. A Park Information Point for the Yorkshire Dales National Park can be found at the Muker Village shop. The village has one church; the Parish Church of Saint Mary, a Grade II* listed building. The River Swale runs parallel to the village, with Kisden Hill offering a charming backdrop.
