"It was an absolute pleasure staying at Natland Hall Cottage."
The facilities and cleanliness were 10 out of 10. Dale & Adele the owners have thought of everything from the welcome baskets + treats for our Golden Retriever Noah. It was like a home from home with every utensil pans plates glasses etc., cosy blankets for us, toys, towels and treats for our dog Noah who loved spending time in the beautiful garden, as did we, comfy outdoor seating and a sunny aspect. The quality of fixtures and fittings were superb. A cosy remote controlled gas fire for chilly evenings together with toasty rads. The large bedroom had fab views overlooking the Church, with the Helm in the distance. The large bed was very comfortable. Everything was cleaned to a high standard. We were most impressed with how wonderful Dale & Adele were and came away feeling we'd made new friends. We especially loved Sparky their Golden Retriever who our Retriever misses. Fab walks from the door with so many places in the Lakes a short drive away. Well stocked supermarkets nearby. Thank you Dale Adele & Sparky

"First time we've used Sykes Cottage and no complaints at all."
We stayed for 3 nights in February.
Natland Hall Cottage was lovely and we couldn't have asked for more. Clean, tidy and quiet. We've already recommended to a few of our friends.
The cottage is bigger than it appears in the photos and perfect for us (2 adults and 1 dog).
Natland is a lovely quiet village. The nearest pub is about a half an hours walk away, which wasn't a problem for us.

"The cottage was a wonderful place to spend Christmas with the dogs."
Such a cosy, warm cottage but very modern. I was concerned about all the kitchen items I would need to pack to make a Christmas dinner, but Dale reassured me that they had everything available for foodies and they certainly did.
The cottage is much bigger than it looks on the photos and it had lots of storage space. We were overwhelmed by the lovely welcome drinks and nibbles we recieved, also emergency tea, coffee and milk as we hadn't had time to stop at the shop. Asda is just a 6 minute drive away but I was sad to hear that there was no village shop. There was also no village pub although Dale directed us to 2 that were a walking distance away and served lovely food.
Natland itself is a cute little village, imagine the Vicar of Dibley setting. There is a church at the heart of the village and we attended 3x over the festive period and enjoyed every service. The locals were lovely and recognised us from our walks with the dogs.
The walks were great for the dogs and the views were lovely. It was a short drive to Windermere where you can get a boat to other areas such as Ambleside. The dogs would get quite muddy on their walks so Dale also gave us access to the outhouse area where there is a washing machine, you can hang wet clothes and also wipe down the dogs.
The most amazing part for us was that as we have two small dogs, the garden wasn't secure for them, especially Daisy my Cavachon who is like Houdini. When I mentioned this to Dale, he spent Christmas Eve in the rain securing the fence with a mesh. This was way beyond what I would ever have expected and I was so grateful as the garden is now secure for small pooches who want to stay. Thank you and we would love to go back again.

"We had an amazing stay at Natland Hall Cottage."
The cottage was wonderful in every respect, spacious, comfortable, clean and fully equipped for everything you need for a perfect holiday. Pip, our Jack Russell especially loved the enclosed garden. Dale and Adele were fantastic hosts, there if needed and there for any advice on the area. The welcome pack and flowers were an unexpected surprise. Whilst the weather wasn’t the best we managed to get out every day to explore the area and weren’t disappointed in the least, amazing. All in all a great place to stay and we can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Dale and Adele.

"This cottage was beautifully presented, the kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed with high quality utensils, and the heating was fantastic!"
Adele and Dale were great hosts. During our one week stay they contacted us midweek as we had not bumped into them, just to make sure everything was ok. Later in the week we had a lovely chat with Adele (and the dog!) and we will be sure to be back next year!
Thank you so much, Adele and Dale.

"The decor is simple and stylish, not cluttered and mismatched like many holiday cottages."
It makes the cottage feel spacious and relaxing. Loved the vase of garden flowers in the kitchen.
The location instructions are totally accurate, but on reading them it seemed more complicated than it actually is to get there.
I would definately recommend for a single person or couple wanting a well located, uncomplicated base for the lakes and dales. The owners handbook is full of useful information about the cottage and things to do. Better than a few leaflets and photocopied basic and dated info. I would definitely book here again.

"Created with empathy for its historical significance and with the owners love and pride stitched into every detail ,Natland Hall Cottage is well thought out to ensure the absolute comfort of its guests both human and four legged."
The decor is aspirational , your have your own parking space and the bonus of the use of a secure outside area . The cottage has a cosy warmth in welcome and in temperature and provides every creature comfort needed for a great holiday in any season.
Natland village provides the peaceful idyll as a fabulous hub for adventures in every direction. The jewel that is Morecambe bay in one direction, the much loved Lake District the opposite way or head to the Limestone of the rugged Yorkshire Dales. We did a mix of all three. Walking aplenty is available from the cottage doorstep with the river Kent providing a wonderful guide through unspoilt countryside that must be a well kept local secret ! Kendal with its abundant shopping and eateries is just a short drive away and the friendly, helpful owners are on hand to ensure everything runs to plan.
