  • "Scenery from the pod and hot tub is lovely, the pod is also extremely clean and has all you could need in there, even down to the small details such as salt and pepper which we loved."

I must mention the mattress as it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, also the shower temperature went cold very quickly so you'd have no chance of washing your hair just a quick dip (not sure if all glamping pods have the same issue.) Privacy was an issue for us and we looked to have the most 'private' pod which is Holly pod. From our pod you could see all the other pods hot tubs. I also didn't really like the fact the owners dogs were free roam - they hung around the pods in the day time and even entered our pod at one point. I imagine anyone who brought a dog who is reactive with other dogs, would have issues. We are huge animal lovers but we booked this stay for some relaxation and privacy. Lastly I felt the owner was quite intrusive at the beginning of our stay. On our first morning waking up we were met by her picking up dog poo near our pod (her dogs poo may I add) she then added it to our rubbish bag of food and asked us to take it down to the bin!! Later that day she was hanging around next doors pod with the pod resident and was sat watching us in and out the hot tub which made us feel really uncomfortable as you can imagine. After the first day we didn't seem to get bothered by her and if we did see her passing she'd smile so it's a shame that this happened on the first day. Lovely place with huge potential but for the above reasons wouldn't book again.

  • "We recently for 4 nights, the location and Farm is stunning and the owners are really friendly and helpful."

The accommodation itself is really nicely finished and very clean, the hot tub was also excellent and maintained daily by the owners... it was really lovely to relax in the hot tub on an evening and look at the beautiful views and stars at night!! The kitchen area is also well equipped with what you may need to prepare and eat food/drinks. Overall the whole stay was wonderful, but we both did find the bed to be quite uncomfortable, perhaps a mattress topper would make it more comfortable as we could both feel the springs and this caused us not to have the best nights sleep during our stay, also more than two pillows on the double bed would be fabulous. Perhaps a user error but we found that the shower would change temperature from hot to completely cold on its own without changing the temperature and when we did try to change it there seem to be a significant delay resulting in as standing in the shower waiting for the freezing cold water to stop. Our dog was very happy during the stay as was able to freely roam on the farm and play with other dogs... just be mindful that there are baby chick's on site when driving and allowing dogs loose.

The view was amazing, the cabin was very cozy. The staff were very friendly and it was great that it was dog friendly too. Our only issue with our stay was that the hot water in the shower didn't last very long, it was ok for me as I a man with short hair but it wasn't enough for my girlfriend to wash her hair.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Low Flan Farm from 2nd-7th March 2024."

We stayed in Holly which is the pod at the very top of the field. It's the most secluded and private and has fabulous views over open fields from the French doors. On our checkout day, we were treated to brief introductions to 1 day old lambs and a 1 week old calf that had all been born on the farm. The farm is a fully working farm with eggs for sale and two extremely well behaved and friendly sheep dogs. The chickens are free range and we often saw them wandering around our patio. The pod itself is well appointed with an electric shower as well as microwave, induction hob, kettle and toaster. We brought our own pans (I'm a fussy chef) and did stir fries, pasta and fajitas without any issues. The hot tub on the patio was amazing and after a long day walking locally or further afield, it was fabulous to be able to soak and chill out for a while. The location of the farm is perfect - you're in the Lakes but not in the "manically busy with tons of people" Lakes. It really easy to get to places with Windermere c30mins away and Keswick about 45mins further on from there. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back without a second thought.

They are everything you can see on the pictures and more, we were surprised at how spacious they really were. Once the sun goes down and darkness descends on the farm, you look up and see a magical array of stars glistening in the nights sky. It’s absolutely magical. Our host was lovely and we felt that she was so approachable. We even bought half a dozen eggs for £1.50 off her as the chickens are free range around the farm and may even visit you in the morning if you’re lucky. You will find the pods are really cosy and after a relaxing evening in the hot tub the bed is just as exciting to jump in! We both had the best nights sleep while here and will 1000% return to Low Flan Farm as it is an absolute gem. Thank you for a lovely weekend and we can’t wait to return!

We came with our son and the lovely owners provided us with extra bedding for him which was amazing. Our hot tub was cleaned every day and was a perfect end to our day, the temperature was so warm and the peaceful surroundings meant that you could just chill without the feeling of people overlooking. Holly pod was in a perfect area and close enough to get to places like Windermere, Ambleside, Hawkshead, Old Man Coniston. We also ventured to see Beatrix Potter's cottage all of which were around 30min drive. We would definitely recommend staying at Low Fan Farm. Me and my partner stayed here the week before Christmas and had such an amazing time! We were already familiar with the family who run these pods and couldn’t wait to come back after staying here in June and it did not disappoint , we knew it wouldn’t that’s why we re booked , carol and Ian are such lovely genuine people and we had the warmest welcome back , introduced to the newest members of the farm and reacquainted us With the rest of the animals we met back in June These pods were one of the best places we could of spent our Christmas , the pods even had Christmas lights which made it feel so much more festive. Although it wasn’t sunshine the weather didn’t stop us doing so many activities that are only in walking distance from the farm. For example the Hoad monument , Cumbria way and also the village is only a stones throw away which is Amazing ! The cleanliness was 10/10 and they paid so much attention to details such as towels being folded a certain way , you can tell they really want the best for their customers We cannot wait to go back again in summer , such a beautiful clamping site with prices that cannot be matched

The pod was clean and fully equipped, the site was well kept. Views were incredible. We would definitely stay again. Only downside was the shower was difficult to keep at a good temperature (it would go really hot or really cold). There were no instructions on how to use the heater, where to dispose of rubbish or what to do upon leaving - I would have thought there would be a guide within the pod with this information.

The hot tub was amazing with tranquil views. We loved staying at the farm seeing all the animals, sitting in the hot tub with nothing but the sounds of the animals on the hills. • "While the facilities are state-of-the-art and situated in an idyllic, secluded location, our stay felt anything but secluded."

Due, no doubt to the newness of the accommodation and inexperience of the owners, we very much felt “under surveillance” at all times. We were told on arrival that the hot tub would be checked daily. We were not told a specific time however, and due to the proximity of the hot tub to the pod door our privacy was compromised several times leading to the owners seeing myself in my underwear. One of them would just appear without even a knock and at different times throughout our stay - ranged from 10am- 1:30pm - so we couldn’t even try to preempt it! Additionally, we were rudely woken up by the owner banging on our door as they noticed another car parked outside the pod. (Our car broke down while we were staying so we had to hire one to drive around the lakes during our stay). We were told, loudly, that the pod only sleeps 2 despite it saying 4 on the website and having a sofa bed. After a bleary-eyed explanation of this (we were asleep when the owner approached the pod to confront us about this) the owner backed down and later she apologised for the mixup. However a simple question first such as “just wondering why there’s now an extra car here?” would have been much politer! Another day during our stay, I accidentally broke a butterfly patterned plate. So, as you do, I cleaned it up and put it in the bin, and when the bin bag was full I took it down to the main bin on site. The owner then made another trip up to our pod the next day (Holly is the furthest pod from the site entrance) to say that they’d found a broken plate in the bin bag and that we needed to pay £10 to replace it. Felt intrusive to say the least that they had gone through our bin bag and found it! So all in all, it is a delightful setting and the accommodation being brand new gave it a nice clean modern feeling. However none of that matters if the relaxation of a hot tub and a room with a view is taken away by the feeling that you’re being watched at all times. However I’m not just here to criticise, I also have suggestions for how it can be improved: - Does the hot tub have to be cleaned daily? Could you not just have set days of the week to clean it? If it has to be daily, could you even allot an hour to give guests warning of when you’re coming (eg “We’ll be cleaning the hot tubs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 11am and 12pm”) - Bulk buy white plates for all pods rather than individual sets for each one. With pets, children and even clumsy adults like myself, accidents happen! Easier and cheaper to replace a white plate than a patterned one. - Let the guests enjoy the accommodation how they see fit (within reason of course!) Any illicit or illegal activity then by all means hammer that door down but an extra car on the drive? A broken plate? Just a polite question in passing seems much more appropriate and customer-friendly. - Advertise on accommodation listing that pets aren’t allowed to be left unattended in the pod. This was only made clear to us in the arrival instructions email received after we had already paid, and forced us to change the plans for our outings during our stay.

  • "Oh where to start!"

We could not recommend enough times! Upon arriving we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from carol who is joint owner with ian who was currently away in France at the time. We were assorted up to the most scenic views with a beautiful luxurious glamping pod with our own personal hot tub. Walking into the pod was an experience in its self they really do take attention to detail when preparing the pods , all the little detailing right down to the way the towels had been folded on the bed and the toilet roll pressed , the little things made it so much more special and intimate. Not one spec of dust or dirt on anything everything was clean and tidy and it felt so cozy. The first point of call however was the luxurious hot tub that was waiting for us already set to the best temperature to ensure our comfort. We soon learnt that carol and her daughter Danielle had the biggest hearts , they would always ask us if we needed lifts and recommend places to go and allowed us to watch the sun set from one of their scenic locations that is only across the road from the farm Speaking of the farm we were introduced to each and every animal they had there with them , I even had some kisses from the baby lambs and had some fun trying to catch some roosters , and our little fury friends on 4 legs that escorted us up to the pod at each chance they got it was a Barrel of laughs I would not have chose anywhere else to spend my 22nd birthday , Over all we had the best time here and we cannot wait to come back as we were made to feel like family , on the last night we all gathered at the main house for a final farewell with a barbecue dinner and just made us feel special. We will be back no doubt about it ❤️ Ellesse & Dan
