Lower Flan Farm was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the Lakes. Without a doubt would return. Truly dog friendly making it an enjoyable visit for all.

"A little slice of heaven!"
Everything was spotless in Oak lodge and we had the most fantastic stay there! The lodge had everything we needed, plus its decorated really nicely making it feel so homely. Loved the little touches of all the “bee” furnishings and really lovely quality amenities. Really easy communication from the owners and such a perfect location! We enjoyed local walks into the town centre as well as further afield and would love to come back some time. The location is just idyllic, and the perfect holiday to get away from it all and relax.

"Although it was a beautiful place to stay and very comfortable I think it’s very overpriced at £250 a night."
-
"What a great location."
The hot tub was excellent. Very helpful host. Plenty of places to eat in Ullverston.

"Weve just arrived home from a 1 week stay in the oak pod ."
We had a fantastic week the pod was immaculate and had everything you needed. Ian and Carol were very friendly and were always on hand if anything was needed . Meg the sheepdog and polly the pup made our trip even more special . It really is a hidden gem . Very quiet location but shops and restaurants just a short walk away . We would also recommend a walk up the pepper pot my husband and I and our dogs walked up it every evening to watch the sunset . We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting low flan farm .

"Just finished the week in oak with these amazing hosts carol and Ian let's not forget meg the sheepdog and the new arrival Polly the lakeland terrier."
Let me just mention these dogs are so friendly and will keep your kids from under your feet. This place is so tranquil and the views from the pods are second to none. Carol and Ian can't do enough to help but also give you your privacy. Pods are 100% pristine carol does a fantastic job. The hot tubs, are emptied and sterilised for ever new guest. It's a perfect location to explore the lakes, don't over look ulverston town as this is a little gem 5 minutes from a Aldi supermarket are if you are feeling posh a booths. If you don't fancy cooking they are a award winning takeaway which will deliver directly to your pod. For the best free-range eggs see carol. We have just got back after a week's stay and already booked again big thank you to carol and Ian. Keep up the good work. Tony Charlotte and Lexi ☺️

"Perfect Location, Beautiful views, walks on your doorstep, peacefully quiet!"
Hot tub! Couldn’t ask for more! Love to return in the future
-
"A 10 out of 10 holiday."
We couldn’t have asked for more, the pods were spotless and the facilities were great, the hot tub was great to relax in after a day of walking up the old man of Coniston. Wonderful hosts. They couldn’t do enough for you to make our stay more comfortable. Some great local walks as well loads to do a little further afield if you want.

"Awesome place to stay."
Carol and Ian do a great job of maintaining the pods to a superb standard. (And Meg the sheepdog, who kept an eye on us and enjoyed some fuss when our dog wasn't looking!) Well equipped, warm and comfortable. Hot tubs checked every day, very clean. Plenty of towels for use. Kitchenette has everything you need to self cater, tho Ulverston has some great pubs and restaurants, just a short walk away, either via the road or more scenic routes across fields or woodland. Views from the pod and the hottub are spectacular, especially at sunset. We had some rather unseasonal weather but still felt cozy - would consider a stay here in winter too. A nice quiet area to stay away from the busy parts of the lakes, but easy enough to visit those areas as well as the coast from here. We will return.

"Great time spent here."
Staying on a working farm was great for our kids, they loved seeing & holding baby chicks and calves, one born only within a couple of hours. Such an experience. Such a dog friendly place, our Labrador loved playing with their dog Megan who called for him daily. Very close to Coniston & Windermere. Ulverston is within walking distance, lots of shops, restaurants and pubs. Hot tub was a bonus, great size and so clean. The pod was perfect everything you need and a really good size, plenty of space for us 4 and our dog. Will return in lambing season next - thank you

"A little piece of heaven on earth."
Carol and Ian are both lovely and the glamping pods are perfect if I could give 10 stars I would! Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We arrived late on the evening because of work commitments and I didn’t expect anyone to greet us but Ian was still up and told met us at the farm gate. The hot tub was so relaxing after a days mountain biking and exploring with great views over the hill side. Our three year old daughter loved playing in the glamping field with Meg and Ruby the farm dogs and there is also a great play park at Ford Park in Ulverston. We really loved our stay and will be back again.

"A big thank you to the owners of the accommodation."
We used it as a retreat and a stay whilst we made trips out. It was perfect. Comfortable, clean, tidy, everything we needed and we were made very welcome and owners were friendly and really nice people. All needs were met . A plus was the he dog friendly element of the stay, as we traveled with our young puppy. He really enjoyed it and we loved the fact that we could interact with the owners dogs too. Already booked for next year, and can’t wait!!! Thank you.

"What a fabulous little find!"
Just returned from 3 nights at Oak and it did not disappoint. The little pod was well equipped, spotless with quality fixtures and fittings. The hot tub was a great addition and we loved chilling while enjoying the amazing views. The hosts were so lovely and very helpful making sure we had everything we needed and were on hand if there was an issue. The location was great, right on top of Ulverston which has lots of lovely places to eat and shops to explore. Lots of places to enjoy some walking and many of the main attractions of the Lakes area are in a short driving distance. You won’t be disappointed with this little gem. We will certainly come back again in the future.
