"Worst holiday I’ve had."
Arrived to find no key, called up and waited 30 mins for the responsible person to bring a key (even tho they said they left the key the day before) then while me and family were out on our 2nd day there came back to find another car on the drive, a work man came and moved his car, said he had stayed there the week before and had booked it for the next 6 month, go into the caravan to find he had let himself in the caravan, spoke to the person responsible and granted she apologised and said he had mixed it up and was meant to be at another caravan this week, and that she would retrieve the key from him, to which we go out the next day and come back to find the caravan open and the key on the table, I get he was leaving the key but why not hand it into the warden or leave it in the lock box instead of entering the caravan and leaving it open, ruined the whole holiday as didn’t know what was going to happen next, caravan has potential to be nice but needs looking at and sorted, all draws and cupboards are full with clutter and broken things, caravan wasn’t the cleanest and would of over looked this had it not been for some1 else entering the caravan, also I know this has nothing to do with the owner but the kids play park is a death trap, the flooring is all uneven with lumps about a foot high, my child went in excited for the slide and fell and cut her knee before getting there

"I booked it for 2 nights, and in both nights there was no heating system or hot water at all."
Wasn’t clean at the the time of collection. For me it was the devil holiday… also the responsible lady was rude and not honest about what she is saying. I will summarise it with a few words “They ruined my holiday”

ARMATHWAITE
Carlisle 10.2 miles; Penrith 11 miles; North Pennines AONB 11.3 miles.
The attractive, unspoilt rural village of Armathwaite is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley and the lovely coastline of the Solway Firth. The village has two old pubs, both with popular restaurants serving excellent food, a village Post Office and a traditional village shop. The River Eden runs through the centre of the village, and the area is renowned for its excellent salmon fishing, plus walking, canoeing and climbing. Armathwaite Castle, by the river, is a four-storey Pele Tower, and the 15th Century Church has fine examples of stained glass windows. The Eden Gorge, between Lazonby and Armathwaite, is one of Cumbria's best-kept secrets, and is well worth exploring. The local railway station is a stop on the Settle-to-Carlisle Railway, which is one of the most beautiful railway journeys in Britain, and where today many old steam trains still wend their way through some of the finest countryside in Britain. The Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith is the "largest grass covered building in the country" or you might like to visit Dalemain Historic House, featured in a television production of Jane Eyre.
