Property just beautiful and also surrounding areas.

  • "We stayed in the lodge for a long weekend and it did not disappoint."

The owner got in touch on day of arrival to confirm the address and provide directions to the lodge. Vicky also checked what time we would get there so that the heating would be on and lodge nice and cosy. The lodge was really spacious, immaculately clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could needed and felt like home from home. The site was good, we didn’t use the restaurant but had a nice deck looking over the lake. We would definitely return to Coniston View

The only disappointment was the mattress on the double bed. It is so soft it offers no support on the edges which being side sleepers led to us both falling/rolling out of bed. Although funny for us it may not be for others. We will definitely book again tho

  • "We had a lovely holiday here, the lodge is beautiful one of the nicest lodges that we have stayed in, love the colours they all match really well."

Lodge was comfortable, clean and plenty of space and storage in bedrooms and bathrooms, some lodges we have stayed in in the past only give you around 6/8 hangers in the wardrobes but this one had plenty. We have stayed on this park 6 times now and this lodge was a favourite I would recommend. We ate twice at the restaurant waters edge dinner was lovely and we went for breakfast on our last day before heading home breakfast was ok but I have had nicer. We went out everyday to different places Kendal,Windermere,Ambleside, Keswick and Morecambe some beautiful places to visit apart from Morecambe I don’t think we will be going there again as it gets worse every time we go very run down place but all in all we all had a fantastic week and we will be visiting again in the future.

The lodge is well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay, great space for sitting out too and lovely to see some of the local wildlife when we went on walks. Would also recommend Greenlands farm shop, laser tag and golf which can be walked to.

  • "This is a very comfortable and well equipped lodge, the weather was poor whilst we were there so we spent more time there than expected!"

Everything was clean, tidy and warm, very comfortable beds and good showers. Perhaps a couple of sharper knives for the kitchen would be good. The only downside was the cost for the use of the facilities on the site, £20 per day per couple to use the gym and pool was certainly more than we were willing to pay. We had two teenagers with us and it would have cost them adult rates too. We didn’t use it once because of this. If it was less we would have certainly made use of them.

  • "A lovely chalet, clean and adequately equipped."

Position on site is commensurate with price charged. The site lacks a shop. The procedure for collecting the keys on arrival could be improved. After a long journey and then having to park on the car park and walk down to chalet ( in our case in a cloud burst of a torrential rain storm ) and then walk back again to collect the car is not ideal ! Perhaps an arrangement with Reception could be agreed. Notwithstanding, the area and the Lake District are truly beautiful and we had a very enjoyable holiday.

  • "Lovely lodge."

Everything was easy access. We had a lovely stay. Recommend going to eaves woods and going to see the pepper pot at the top, beautiful views also Lancaster canal was lovely too and if you keep walking to the end, there is a lovely tea room and oooh my goodness the cakes were to die for. Both of these are 10 mins away from the lodge. We also went to Tewitfield marina and again lovely walks. If you liked Brief Encounter or just want to go for a visit there is Carnforth station and heritage centre and they filmed Brief Encounter there. Nice wee visit. They had a coffee room there but we didn’t go in. Looked nice though. There is also a Aldi's and Tesco nearby the lodge. It was a great break away.

  • "The lodge is lovely, and very spacious."

The rooms are well thought out, in terms of the layout, and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything is clearly very new, and looked after. It’s positioned nicely on the site; it’s not a through route so there are very few passing vehicles. It’s an easy location to get to – just off the M6. You can hear the gentle hum of traffic as it gets later, which works like white noise so isn’t a problem. Local amenities are good, with several supermarkets within a mile or so, including Tesco, Aldi and a Booths in Carnforth. Whilst the lodge is lovely, and the owner is freely available on WhatsApp, there are a few things which might make a stay here a little more straight forward, which could be solved by giving more information in the Welcome Pack, such as o How to lock the balcony door. Without instruction, it is difficult to lock so that it cannot be opened externally (even though you think it might be locked from the inside), thus securing the property. o How to work the Nest heating. Its locked remotely, which means you cannot alter longer term settings around when it comes on and off. However, you can adjust it locally for the immediate temperature control, but if you (or your kids) accidentally turn it off at the plug, you’re stuck. You’ll need to message the owner to reset it. There’s a room you cannot access, which is marked as Private. I understand why the owners might do this, however, there was no mention of this in the listing. I presume it’s some sort of utility room, so freer access to additional items such as bin bags, a washing machine or even just a little bit more storage space if you’re here for longer than a couple of days, would be helpful. Whilst we were there, we had some issues with the plumbing in the en-suite. I messaged the owner, and a maintenance chap arrived within about 20 mins. He suggested that this might be a hangover from a central problem on the site, as they’d needed to drain the whole system a few days earlier. Overall, a lovely stay on a site, with a helpful host, which is well located to access the beautiful Lake District.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Sorry you felt the park was too dark, I do provide torches, which are in the lodge, if you are out after dark. There has been discussions about more lighting which is still being looked into. I am so glad you like the lodge. Property Owner
