It was a bit further away from the promenade at the beach than we expected, so quite a long walk there and back without being able to walk too far along the prom. We had lovely weather and the back garden was great to sit out in the sun and our 2 dogs were safe and secure.

  • "A lovely Bungalow with all amenities and very clean."

The garden is a lovely sun trap and dog friendly for most dogs but not for very small dogs. We have 2 chihuahuas that did get through gate and spaces in hedge. It was a bit too far from beach for me as I rely on using a mobility scooter while my husband is fishing but did enjoy my stay.

The cottage is perfectly situated for. visiting Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Blackpool etc. A short walk away is the entrance to Wyre Estuary Country Park with good walking facilties. The accommodation was comfortable, warm and cosy and immaculately clean. It is a credit to the owners who have thought of everything you could need for a great holiday. We would recommend Hope Cottage and hope to be back again.

  • "Usual great standard of cleanliness throughout the bungalow but unfortunately there was an issue with the boiler that had been mentioned in previous feedback."

Though we spoke to the owner the problem was not solved unfortunately. There was also no welcome pack on our arrival or loo rolls which we had to go out for on arrival. This is not usual for this property I have to say so I'm hoping there's an explanation.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay!"

Hope Cottage was very comfortable and very well decorated with lovely colour schemes and home comforts. Immaculately clean and tidy. Every thing needed and more, for a short break (or longer stay). Nice touches with the bread, milk, prosecco and dog bowls and treats, much appreciated! Only additions to suggest would be provision of a sieve and a clothes horse! {known as a washing maiden in Lancs?!} For us personally, a double bed was a bit of a squeeze but it was our choice to book somewhere with a double bed but, as above in new immaculate condition. Neighbours polite and offered to be called on if required. Area lovely and quiet. One small issue with the heating was very pleasantly sorted out with a quick visit, and instructions given to reset the system if needed (which we did another couple of times during our stay). Thanks for being so prompt. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to visit and stay again in the future. Kind regards, Dave, Heather and Wilf Ryal : ) 24 - 28/11/23

Only down points; Cooker hood smelt like a smoker had been smoking under it and the light wasn't working. Back door handle was quite stiff.

  • "The Property was spotless if not clinically clean."

The property was rather bijoualthough I had read previous feedbacks pertaining to the bed I honestly didnot realise how problematic it would be. We are both in our 70s I suufer from osteo arthritis and found it extremely difficult to get in and out of the bed. We had booked from 03/11/2023 to 10/11/2023 however we decided to leave on Monday 06/11/2023 due to the sleeping.Let me make myself clear the bungalow is in a great location next door were friendly people ideal for the Stannah tramper trail.Spotless everything you need for a break even a bottle of wine and a beer milk and bread. The heating was nice and toasty.

We did have problems finding the place, but that was due to road works, so we phoned the owner, he directed us to the cottage ( stayed on the phone until we got there) so thank you! There was everything you needed in the cottage. We will definitely like to go back there again. Such a lovely area for walking the dog, and so peaceful.

  • "A wonderful little bungalow which clearly has been renovated and presented to a great standard throughout, useful off road parking immediately in front of the property and a good back garden ideal for the dog especially late at night and early morning!"

Excellent location for lovely dog walks next to the river Wyre and only 15 - 20 minutes for Blackpool centre. We were please with how the house was equipped, the lovely welcome items were also much appreciated too. Of course the property is bijou and whilst for us all was fine, perhaps those older or with some mobility issues may struggle with the bed in terms of the space either side of it when getting in and out, but once in it was very comfortable indeed. A accessible bathroom, well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge. We enjoyed our stay a great deal, thank you for presenting such a wonderfully clean property, the neighbours were also lovely and baked some cakes for us too as well as taking a shine to our German Shepherd!

Thank you for your lovely feedback. As we are new to this business we take all feedback to heart. Thank you again and hope you would recommend us in the future. Take care. Property Owner

No instructions either for the washing machine and the boiler. Was not able to do a washing machine did not work and eventually turned the heating off at radiators.

Good day Sir As we are new to this business we appreciate any feedback and welcome any points that would make our guests stay as amazing as we hope for them. We are sorry that there were a couple of issues with your stay and we will strive to put them right. Regarding instructions for the boiler and washing machine both were available and kept on the bookshelf in the lounge area but due to your feedback we will now put these in the welcome pack for easier access. I am unsure why you didn’t call me, as you did with the TV issue as we could have resolved that issue for you within minutes. With regard to the Smart TV we were advised by Sykes that a Smart TV would be the way to go and that guests would sign into their own streaming accounts to access the programmes they watch regularly. I did however leave my own Netflix account available as I am aware that some people may not have streaming accounts. It upsets and frustrates me that you did not have the fantastic and amazing time that we wish for all our guests who experience Hope Cottage and hope that the Prosecco, bread, milk and coffees / teas left for you on arrival along with the high standard of decor, facilities and most of all the idyllic positioning went some way to achieving an enjoyable stay with us. Thank you for your booking and appreciate your honest feedback. Property Owner
