  • "Great central location with easy access to reasonable paid 24hr long stay car parking at very close race course."

Cartmel was warm, quaint and incredibly welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon local cricket match on the race course. This was ecommended by a local and we took a picnic and had a few drinks in the clubhouse which was refreshing and socially relaxing. We couldn't resist the opportunity to dine at one of the Simon Rogans restaurants. The experience was amazing and highly recommended. As for for the Old Bookshop...where do we start...it was so cosy, stylish, quirky and perfect for our needs. It was a secret tardis of discovery due to the unexpected space and clever & niche nterior design. The vendor provided every requirement needed for our break. We would not hesitate to return.

  • "The Old Book Shop provided the perfect base for our family holiday given its very close proximity to the racecourse and central position in the delightful village of Cartmel."

The cottage was nicely furnished and had everything that we might have needed. The only problem was the parking but we got around it easily enough. Enjoyed eating out at several of the various pubs and cafes dotted around the village. Already planning the next visit.

  • "The property was exquisite."

It was tastefully presented. The kitchen was lovely and contained more appliances than other cottages I have stayed at. The layout of the cottage was quirky which added to its charm. The proximity of the cottage to the racecourse was an added benefit and made our day at the races so easy. I just wish we had booked a longer break.

Thankyou for your lovely review we are glad you enjoyed your stay Property Owner
