• "I cannot say anything bad about Curlew Corner."

  It was everything I expected and more. I was first greeted by the most friendiest host, Diane. She was fabulous and told me everything I needed to know and answered all of my questions. I booked this pod for peace, tranquility and rest and that is what I got. There are lovely places to visit near by including the local brewery, Farm Yard Co and Wallings ice cream and coffee shop. I loved that my neighbours were cows, chickens and llamas! I feel this is a very special place I will be visiting regularly.Thank you.

• "Thank you for another great stay!"

  The Glamping Pod has everything you need and it's always spotless. The tea, milk, coffee and delicious homemade cakes on arrival are very welcome. Diane is on hand to explain how the underfloor heating, hot tub etc works and is always available should you need further assistance. Counting down the days until our next visit!

• "Such a hidden beautiful gem."

  Lovely location, we went to the zoo for the day, was a nice easy drive there too. The pod was amazing everything we needed and more. We are thinking of coming back in December for a little stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

  The accommodation was perfect and exactly as described. Dianne was a great host and we particularly enjoyed the personal touch with buns on arrival they went down a treat with a brew after a long journey. Would highly recommend was a shame we only booked 2 nights.

• "Truly amazing stay."

  Gorgeous peaceful surroundings, obviously everyone goes for the hot tub which is fed from an underground spring and heated 24 hours a day everything is perfect. You have a complimentary fire pit kit with logs for your first one, I guarantee that once you get into the hot tub with the flames dancing one fire will not be enough. I forgot about work and was so chilled after this break I was horizontal for days. The host is a lovely lady, so hard working and nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommend. The shops are a little bit of a distance as you are secluded but it's well worth it no stress. I recommend going to Glasson Dock approx 6 miles away the Dalton Arms does an amazing breakfast and pint of Guinness (we were on holiday) then if your into posh nosh from lobster to wild boar pate pop next door to the port of Lancaster Smokehouse for things to take back to the pod. We will be returning unfortunately my wife won't let me go back next week. This isn't a downside, housemartins like to nest around the outside light above the door, the owner keeps it under control but if you hang a plastic bag around the light in the day it keeps them away and saves your lovely host from scarecrow duty. • "We absolutely loved our stay at curlew corner!"

  We could not of asked for a better couple of nights! The pod had everything we needed, and the hot tub was amazing! Diane was the best host, and was there for anything that we needed. The location was quiet and perfect, only 45 minutes from the Lake District which was a perfect day out and the brewery had amazing food and drink which was only a 10 minute walk away. We will definitely be returning in the future for another stay!

• "It was a beautiful place for our weekend away."

  The pod/hot tub was fantastic and very clean and comfortable. Ideal surroundings and for our first time we couldn't have asked for anything better.   The pod was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and the hot tub was an added bonus. The setting was quiet with lots of wildlife and farm animals. The cupcakes left by the owners were a lovely treat. Its the perfect place to relax and unwind.

• "Loverly family run pod, amazeing area & local attractions recomended were really good."

  Enjoyed our time at the pod. No faults loved it all. Just 1 issue which made me rate it 4stars instead of 5stars. Would be the comfort. The bed was extreamly uncomfortable it feels like your rolling down a hill also after a few hours of lieing on it. Your bones feel akey/bruised. Too the point hadnt managed any kip whilest at the pod. But other than the bed i would highly recomend the pods :)

• "My boyfriend and I visited Curlew Corner for a December weekend get-away."

  We couldn’t have asked for a single thing more. The pod was cosy and comfortable, with everything we could possibly need! We spent most of our time in the gorgeous hot tub, and especially loved the alpacas in the morning. I would also recommend the Farm Yard Brew, lovely little pub about a 15 minute walk from the site. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back!

• "Had a lovely 2 night stay."

  Lodge had everything we needed including robes and slippers for the hot tub. Cosy but still enough space, underfloor heating for when it got a little bit chilly and a decent shower. Had a lovely firepit and BBQ and the owners left us alone unless we needed anything. Wish we could have stayed longer!

• "This was our first time in a pod and it was absolutely wonderful."

  There was everything we needed, the owners had thought of everything when designing the interior of the pod. It was spotlessly clean with quality fittings and fixtures. The hot tub was lovely, as was the setting on the farm. The owners were on hand to settle us in and were so helpful and friendly. • "Fantastic stay."

  Only a one night visit, but would easily accommodate us for a longer stay. Everything you need to base yourself from or cosying up for a film night or two. Diane was a fantastic host and met us at the pod, with an explanation of all the sights local and a bit further (a few locations within easy walking distance to enjoy (local brewery with live music being one). I would definitely recommend this place, and will be looking to come again.

  We couldn’t fault it at all. We didn’t need to ask for anything as the host went above and beyond our expectations. The location was very quiet which is what you want for a lodge. The location is in the middle of everything which was good! Half hour from Blackpool & around half hour from Windermere so there was plenty to do through the day & if you didn’t want to go anywhere, the hot tub was perfect for chilling! We will definitely be booking again & we highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a break to book here!

  Me and my partner stayed for our 3 year anniversary and it was ideal. Felt like the only 2 people around. The pod itself is so gorgeous and well thought out. Everything you could need right there! The hot tub was amazing and very private. There is a great brewery bar 10 minute walk away which gad live music on the Saturday. Diane was lovely and so welcoming.

  The pod was fantastic and had everything we needed. The pod is located on a family run farm so we had the delights of waking up to the sheep and lambs which were just a short distance from us. Definitely recommend a visit here if you want something different to a usual city break.
