  • "We had a great stay in St Anne’s at Orchard House."

The house was lovely, lots of space for our family group of 9 across 3 generations. We loved the location being so close to the town and the beach, we even had gorgeous weather and enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the beach. Thanks for a great holiday.

  • "We had a great short stay in St Anne’s."

Orchard Lodge is a lovely property with everything you could need, a real home from home experience, the property is large, very clean and close to a lot of local amenities, a short walk to the pier, beach, shops and a park. We would definitely stay here again the owners have thought of everything even a welcome snack which was greatly appreciated. There was 9 of us staying at this lovely house, including 3 Grandchildren, there was more than enough room for everyone to do their own thing. Great communication with the owners. Parking is on the street outside which was busy first thing in the morning and late in the evening this was not a problem for us (we was able to move the car once a space became available) as the local amenities are great so we didn’t need to drive out of the area.

Beautiful roomy house, well equipped and in a fantastic location. The few small teething issues we had were sorted quickly and efficiently by the owners. Would recommend and would return.

  • "Beautiful house, all amenities with large well equipped kitchen and welcome pack including milk, tea and coffee."

Lovely and clean. Absolutely perfect for 6 adults, four children under 12 and a little dog. Car parking on the street, though you may have to search for a nearby space. No problem though.

  • "This property is lovely and is perfect for a group of family or friends to spend a few days in a spacious, relaxing environment."

We had a party of 9 celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary and this well appointed spotlessly clean 5 bedroom house allows you all the space and comfort you could ever require, especially the wonderful enormous kitchen. A really nice touch was the unexpected welcome pack which was much appreciated. The property location is ideal just a short stroll to the seafront and many shops, restaurants and several bars/pubs. We would love to visit again sometime in the future.

  • "We recently stayed in this lovely home for five nights at the end of a two week UK holiday visiting friends in Scotland."

After spending time on the road in different hotels each night we were so happy to be able to use Sykes Cottage as our base. With three grown up children it is hard to find suitable accommodation that provides enough space for everyone. Thankfully with the five bedrooms and 3 and a half bathrooms there was space were perfect for all of us. We were even able to accomodate close family from Europe. It was the perfect space for us to be able to share time together. As we live in Australia we don't see our family from Europe and UK very often so it was so special to be able to spend five days together. The location was perfect as it was only a few hundred metres from pubs, cafes, the high street, Sainsburys, Aldi and my favourite the M & S food hall! Everything was within walking distance, including the beach front and one of the best fish and chip shops! We decided to cook a couple of meals and the kitchen provided everything we needed to enjoy home cooking. Even though we are from Australia (& have the best beaches!) we loved that we could walk to the beach and the piers. Even though our kids are all young adults they still loved the novelty of the English pier arcades. The house was very clean, tidy and super comfortable. We had a very minor issue at the start and Helen was super helpful and very responsive, so it was resolved quickly. I would absolutely recommend this house for anyone needing space and a great location. If we return to Lytham St Annes, this is where we will be staying.

  • "The inside of the property has obviously been restored."

One or two areas still need attention for example some windows upstairs would not open and the outside seating area needs attention The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious ideal for a family We had a very lively toddler and a stair gate would have been ideal. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property and would not hesitate to return.

  • "Lovely house very central to all St Annes."

Everything was very clean and has everything you need. Only a couple of points I would raise.....The shower/water was a problem. 1 shower did not work, one only had very cold water and the other only had very hot water. We managed but this could do to be looked at. Also we did have to go out and buy dishwasher tablets. Just having a couple left for use would of been handy. Other than that a lovely place. I would recommend.

Whilst we always welcome feedback, it would be far more useful if the guest lets us know that there is an issue when they are staying at the property (rather than tell everyone when they have checked out). The issues raised are now being attended to and any future guests will be sure to enjoy all the comforts the house offers. Property Owner

LYTHAM ST. ANNES

Blackpool 5.2 miles.

The seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes-on-Sea nestle along a picturesque stretch of coastline lined with pretty parks. For many centuries, the economy of this lovely area was dependent entirely on fishing until the beginning the Industrial Revolution, which resulted in the wealthy creating an affluent area, lasting until the present day. A short stroll from the Lytham seafront brings you to leafy Clifton Street, where you’ll find charming boutiques, restaurants and independent shops. Lytham Green, a strip of grass running between the shore and the main coastal road, is a notable landmark, overlooking the River Ribble towards the Welsh Mountains, and home to the restored Windmill and Old Lytham Lifeboat House museum. Those interested in craft ales can take a tour of the Lytham Brewery, whilst walkers and twitchers will adore the rolling sandy dunes of St Annes-on-Sea and the Ribble Estuary providing a safe haven for more than 250,000 migrating birds that return each winter. The area is internationally renowned for golf with four courses to choose from, the most notable being the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, one of the host courses for the Open Championship. Traditional seaside pastimes can be enjoyed at St Annes-on-Sea with a pretty pier and charming little beach huts in an array of pastels offering visitors a unique, exciting addition for a day beside the sea. A short walk from the pier brings you to St Annes Square and Wood Street, where you'll find charming coffee shops, tea rooms, restaurants and independent shops. Lovely long strolls, sunny afternoons on the sand or fun-filled frolics in nearby Blackpool, Lytham St Annes is a charming coastal destination with plenty to offer.
