  • "This is a fabulous home in the village."

Although old and quirky, every mod con was available. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable and even as it is just off the main road there was no road noise at all. The garden was great for the dog safe and secure (although she did try and chase the neighbours cats - neighbours are lovely ❤️) Had to say never cooked once - there are great cafes and The Royal was our local for dinner and drinks!

Thank you for the lovely feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and hopefully we will see you again sometime. We love The Royal too! Thanks again Laura and Rich Property Owner

.. charming little cottage in a little gem of a village..... Heysham village ....could not fault it ...weather wasn’t to great but we did manage quite a few walks along the beach front & into Morecambe ...Tilly’s place was lovely with everything you could need ...would definitely stay again ..Only managed to catch my head on kitchen door once

Thanks for the feedback Elaine . We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay. We love the walk on the front to the Midland for a drink! Hopefully we see you again sometime. Thanks again for your lovely comments. Laura and Rich x Property Owner

  • "Lovely well equipped cottage with lots of extras."

Clean, comfortable, quiet and great location for shops, pubs and beach. If I had to say anything negative it would be that there was a strange smell in the dining room, that there is nowhere to store food in the kitchen (but realised that's not easily solved) and that the garden is not secure for a dog who is at all adventurous (ours escaped within minutes of our arrival so we had to take him out on a lead after that). But these are minor negatives compare with lots and lots of positives and we would certainly consider staying again if the garden was more secure.

Thanks for the feedback Alyson. We will certainly look into the issues you’ve discussed above as neither have been raised before. We’re so glad you had a nice time and thank you for your positive comments. Hopefully we will see you again sometime. Thanks again. Laura and Rich x Property Owner

  • "Thanks to Laura and Richard for sharing Tilly‘s Place with us."

The cottage is lovely decorated and equipped with everything you can possibly wish for. The spacious garden comes in handy when the sun shines. We enjoyed wonderful walks around the bay and if you are more interested in physics there is even a nuclear power plant to visit (the guided tour needs to be booked well in advance). We can recommend Tilly‘s Place without reservation!

Thank you for the great review. We’re glad you had a lovely time! And great shout with the nuclear power plant tour! Hopefully see you again sometime. Thanks so much Laura and Rich x Property Owner

  • "Tilly’s Cottage is an absolute gem, we highly recommend it and most definitely will be back again!"

The communication from Laura and Rich was fantastic, they provided so much helpful information about the cottage and surrounding area. We stayed for 3 nights with our two children and our dog. We found it so relaxing. The boys loved the games and toys and enjoyed playing in the enclosed garden with our dog. The cottage itself is stunning, really well presented and was very clean. We all found the beds very comfortable and enjoyed snuggling up in-front of the fire after walks along the beach. The location is brilliant, short walks to cafes, pub, shops and beach. Thank you so much for the little arrival treats also. 5 stars from us, we literally have no suggestions or complaints. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Many thanks, The Shawcross Family

Many thanks for the feedback. We’re glad you have a nice break. And thanks for the feedback regards the mattress. We’re sorry the kids found it uncomfortable. It’s not something we have had raised before so we will review this alongside any other comments at the end of the summer season.
