  • "We had a great week at Lazey cottage."

The location was great for us and the dogs who loved the beaches and places to explore. We saw loads of bird life and had a lovely break. I would highly recommend staying here.

Thanks for this lovely review Lorna. Glad you managed to enjoy the birdlife around the Hodbarrow Nature Reserve. I understand lots of people love to see the breeding terns, Ringed Plovers, Redshanks and Oystercatchers. And also apparently you can find Great Crested Grebes nesting here too. We do hope you’ll visit us again. Kind regards Elena Property Owner

  • "We had a long weekend in Lazey cottage and had the best time."

The cottage is perfectly situated on the front and was spotlessly clean. The owner Elena , was the perfect host whom nothing was too much trouble. We are planning on going back in January. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

  • "We had a really lovely week at lazey cottage."

. Beautiful and clean and all the things needed to make us feel at home. The owner even sent us a book on local history as I was interested in when the cottages were built.. Views were beautiful, we enjoyed touring the area and visiting places we had seen many years before . Thank you for letting us stay..

Thank you Sian for this wonderful review. I’m so glad you mentioned being interested in the background and history of the cottages. You made me realise how much amazing history there is in the local area and how there are really interesting traces of it, such the lighthouses and old sea wall and pier etc, just a short walk away. Thank you also for leaving the cottage so beautifully and we do hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards Elena Property Owner

  • "Our time spent at Lazy Cottage was fantastic."

Exactly what we wanted for my wife, myself and the dogs. The property was extremely well equipped for all eventualities you may ever encounter during your stay. The weather was not in our favour to get out and about as much as would have liked, so the location and time spent in the property was enjoyed by all. We will certainly be enquiring in the future for any availability when travelling to this part of Cumbria. Great stuff

Thank you for this lovely review. We are so delighted you enjoyed Lazey cottage. Our cleaning team were also so happy to see that in the visitor’s book you wrote that you found the cottage ‘spotless’, something that they pride themselves on. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Kindest regards Elena Property Owner

  • "What a lovely cottage."

We had a fabulous week in this really well equipped and comfortable accommodation with easy access to the beach, local pub and a great fish and chip shop (open 4 evenings a week) The house was cosy for 4 adults and a dog with outside space to enjoy the great scenery when the weather permitted. Nice walks all around with a beach cafe serving food and drinks only 5 minutes walk away. A good time was had by all (and that includes our dog!).

Hi Shelley, we are delighted you all (and the dog) enjoyed your stay in Lazey cottage. It is of the utmost importance to us that the cottage is warm and welcoming with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, so we’re pleased you found it so. The local fish and chip shop, pub, beach cafe really do provide lovely food and they’ll appreciate the mention here. Thank you again and we hope to see you again. Kind regards Elena Property Owner
