"Fantastic property which has been restored to a very high standard."
Short walk into the centre of Ulverston. Hope to return soon.

"Really stunning suite, we will definitely stay here again."

"We were blown away by the beauty of Stone Cross Mansion and the Margaret Suite is beautiful with lovely views of the garden."
Furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable esp the beds. The cleanliness was outstanding and the extras in the cupboard under the kitchen sink of washing up liquid to capsules for the washing machine was great. The welcome tray in addition to the water and milk in the fridge is a nice touch too. The separate entrance we used for the dog straight into the garden was a bonus and plenty of grass and safe walking opportunities for the early morning snuffle. We really enjoyed our break and hope to return in the near future.

"Mike and his Team at Stonecross Mansion are absolutely first class."
Our stay was most comfortable, the surroundings and facilities are superb, and the mansion is a 10 minute walk from Ulverston. We stayed in the Margaret Suite for 7 nights, and Mike managed to accomodate us for an additional night in the Alice Suite due to an unexpected situation that arose on the first day of our stay. Mike and his team worked hard to ensure we had somewhere to stay as we were unable to travel home on the arranged date. Both suites had full self-catering, top of the range facilities, and the apartments were extremely clean. We would definitely love to go back, so we can really appreciate what the mansion has to offer. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one.

"This definitely had the wow factor."
My granddaughter thought she was a princess in a castle and didn’t want to leave.

"Lovely place to stay, only down side was a problem with the heating."

"We stayed for a week in the Margaret apartment at Stonecross Manor and enjoyed it immensely."
The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious, with huge ceilings and beautiful windows that look over the lawn. The communal areas of the hall itself are gorgeous, with lovely sofas and comfy chairs dotted about for you to enjoy the buildings history. There were communal outdoor games to play and the badminton sets were a huge hit with us and many other families. As the apartments are all brand new, everywhere is pristine. Our fridge wasn't cooling but Mike the property manager was super helpful and had a temporary replacement fridge ready for our arrival. We were asked by Mike if we had any feedback as they've only been open to guests for a coupe of weeks, so we mentioned a few additional items that would make the apartment even better and low and behold these arrived later that day!! Highly recommend staying here.
Hi Marie, thanks for your your lovely feedback and I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay in the Margaret suite and hopefully we will see you again soon. Thanks again Mike and the team Property Owner
