"Excellent. We really enjoyed our stay at Stone Cross Mansion."
The building is superb and a fascinating history. There are 3 things I would suggest. 1. A proper double bed. The seam down the middle is uncomfortable for a single person. 2. An ashtray in the garden as I am a smoker. 3. A light above the pool table. We will be returning again soon!

"Excellent - pricey but worth it."
Lovely apartment in an amazing building. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, easy walk of Ulverston shops. Ideal location for South and West Lakes. Thank you to Mike and the team at Stone Cross Mansion for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.
Thank you for your lovely review of Stone Cross Mansion and what it has to offer. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again in the future. Mike and the Stone Cross Team Property Owner

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stone Cross Mansion and will recommend to our friends and family."
The apartment was very well equipped and we appreciated the welcome package. The indoor and outdoor games were a bonus. The only thing we could criticise was that the fridge and freezer had been turned off. As it was a hot day, it would’ve been helpful if the fridge and freezer had been cold when we arrived.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay. Sorry to hear about the Fridge, we have since put stickers on the Fridge Freezer switches to hopefully stop them being turned off. Thanks again for your choosing to stay at Stone Cross and we hope to see you again soon! Mike and the team Property Owner

"We stayed in the Theobold suite, we were so impressed with everything, it was exactly as described."
The actual mansion is absolutely beautiful and inside was stunning. We loved staying there.at the bottom of the road was an Aldi and m&s. We travelled each day to our location for walking and even though it was a drive we didn’t mind as it’s beautiful so for us the location was great. There is also a glass blowing experience at Cumbria crystal which is in ulveston.
Thank you for the lovely review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay here and I'm so glad you went to cumbria crystal, It's a great experience. We did bauble blowing at Christmas! Hoping to see you again if you come back up Mike and the team Property Owner

"A Beautiful apartment - lovely high ceilings."
We were so impressed from the moment we arrived. It had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful staircase. Easy to park. Close to supermarkets. Really liked the area. 2 negatives: the shower pressure was far too much and dangerous for my 7 and 9 yo children to be able to have a shower and when i turned it to try and reduce the pressure it turned hot and burnt my arm. It should have a danger sign on it. So we would not have been able to stay longer than 4 days there as it was not possible for the kids to have a shower. We also think there was a problem with the toilet plumbing in the main bathroom due to the fact that when the en-suite toilet was used some of the toilet contents appeared in the main bathroom toilet so that needed to be flushed too. It was very strange. The bed mattress was also very soft and not that comfortable. Part from these points, it was amazing. It was lovely how there were coffee pods for us to use and teabags and biscuits. Absolutely loved the kitchen. A lovely bright apartment.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stonecross Mansion."
The property was exceptionally clean, well presented and equipped and more importantly, everything worked. We met the caretaker on arrival, who was very informative, personable and helpful, extending our checkout time as it was mother's day. We really enjoyed the pool table. All in all, a stunning, superbly renovated Mansion and apartment. Highly recommended.

"We had another amazing week at beautiful Stone Cross Mansion."
Theobald Suite was immaculate and homely just as last year. The pool table is a great addition and was used daily by a few of us and we enjoyed games of boules outside. I am sure we will be back soon.
-
"A really stunning property with everything you could possibly need, provided for."
The property also has plenty of activities available on site, to keep families entertained and for those who prefer to wander out, the location is perfect with the local town centre just a short walk away.
-
"One of the best places we have visited in a long time."
The Mansion and grounds are absolutely fantastic. The children enjoyed all of the brilliant facilities, from pool, cricket, swings, board games and much more! The location to shops was so convenient. Nearby there is M&S, Aldi. Ulverston town center was a nice 5-10 minutes walk. Some great shops and pubs! Thank you to everyone involved in the presentation, upkeep of the apartments at Stone Cross. Thanks also to the hosts for being so welcoming and Sykes to offer the suite on their site and regular communication on access and booking to make the experience even more seamless. Definitely, this is 5 stars!

"Everything about the property was really good, great selection of board games and outdoor activities."
The bar football table took some finding but we found it. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, as the signal kept washing in and out and the TV wouldn’t connect to the internet at all so turned out not to be as smart a tv as we’d hoped. Overall we had a great stay and would happily stay there again.
Thank you for your feedback, it really helps us identify improvements. It looks as if the TV WiFi had been disconnected by a previous guest, It's now back up and running but we will hard wire the TV going forward to stop any further disconnection. Thank you for staying at Stone Cross Mansion. Mike and the team Property Owner

"Absolute luxury stay."
Such quality furnishings gs, equipment and bedding. Beds were really comfortable. Property cleaned to a very high standard. We did have problems with the WiFi signal at times but we just rebooted our phones to resolve. So peaceful and quiet. We hardly saw other residents. The grounds are superb. Marks and Spencer food store and Aldi situated down dri e and directly across main road. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

"The apartment was exactly as described."
We had a welcome from the facility manager when we arrived at 10pm, which was nice. If we had any questions or concerns these were dealt with swiftly. Overall a great experience.

"Lovely apartment to stay, very central to the lakes."
Very well equipped.the seating in the lounge was a bit uncomfortable to relax in ,due to our age,but would not hesitate to recommend for a good place to stay.
-
"Apartment great, grounds well maintained, so peaceful, full of wildlife."
Ulverston is a hidden gem of this area, great pubs and shops in general. The tapas bar lal churrasco is great, tapas taster menu if 4 or more of you. Great walk up to the monument, and a good walk along the canal to the pub at the end, stunning views. Cant fault this place, staff are approachable and friendly, a brilliant base for the area.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and everything the local area had to offer, it really is a great walk up to the monument! We hope to welcome you again soon. Owner Relations - Lakes Cottage Holidays Property Owner

"A truly beautiful place."
The apartment was outstanding. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. The lounge was comfortable and was a great space for us to have many nights playing board games. The rooms were comfortable with large beds. My teenage boys loved the pool table and table football, these were a wonderful addition. The walk into the small town of Ulverston was literally a 5 minute walk. We discovered some wonderful places to eat and drink. I would highly recommend this place to all and will be returning.
