  • "Wonderful property and well maintained."

Excellent instructions for arrival and departure. Plenty of well marked parking. Very nice apartment. Views lovely. Nice and quiet( September) . Great there is a lift. Sadly the very posh espresso machine would not work ( simple Tassimo would be much better). Odd to have an oven plus microwave / oven? Also to use the microwave you need to remove the metal shelf and metal side supports!! ( I would have remembered about the shelf but not the side supports!!) Beds were very comfortable ( except 2.5' wide is very restrictive for an adult!) pillows very comfortable. Great shower. We will return !!

  • "We booked a last minute weekend away and what an amazing place!"

Everything about the mansion's apartments are perfect, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need (inc tea/coffee/milk /biscuits/bottled water). The communal space is stunning with activities and seating areas tucked away and the grounds are fabulous with lots of outdoor sports and hidden gems. Ulverston is in walking distance but be aware that the restaurants are very busy in summer so pre booking (by at least a week) is a must but there is an Aldi and M&S food hall 2 minutes away to stock up in. We will definitely be back with friends and family in the future.

  • "What a wonderful stay in The Florence."

All was perfect! The only tiny comment … I couldn’t open any of the windows in the lounge …this was a shame as some fresh air would have been welcome.

  • "Beautifully restored mansion house, the entrance hall is stunning."

Apartment was well equipped, modern and very clean. Welcome pack included everything you would need - dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, coffee pods. The children loved playing in the communal hall which included a pool table, table football, board games and books. Lots of parking on site and an easy walk into Ulverston - an M&S food is a 2 minute walk down the drive. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we will be back, we had to drag the children back home!

  • "Could have done with a few more hangers in the wardrobes, we found the shower ..."

could have done with a few more hangers in the wardrobes, we found the shower pressure to powerful, and could do with a grab rail for stepping in and out of the bath, these comments is not meant in any way as a criticism of Stone Cross Mansion, Couldn't fault it in any way, I'm sure if we come up that way again, Stone Cross Mansion will be top of our list of places to stay, and will highly recommend to friends and family

  • "The Stone Cross Mansion and apartments were amazing."

The Mansion was stunning set in beautiful , well maintained grounds. The decor and appliances in our apartment were all high spec and made you feel that you were staying in a luxury location. Michael the host was on hand to deal with any question or issue. Ulverston itself is a really nice market town with loads of independent shops and cafes, pubs and restaurants. We had a fabulous time and didn't want to leave. Very good value and would highly recommend.

  • "This is a stunning location."

The entrance is amazing. The apartment itself is well sized with high end appliances and comfortable furniture. The welcome pack was a very nice gesture which included water in the fridge, tea, Nespresso pods, and some sweet goodies. We did have a couple of issues with the Internet not working and the breaker tripping but nothing that ruined our stay. Would highly recommend.
