  • "Brilliant property very clean & well equipped in peaceful location on site."

Also 5 minutes walk to lake side so great for the dog!

  • "Was excellent, really spacious and beautifully presented."

The lodge was as private with trees to the side, whereas others in the park weren’t as private. Was decorated really nicely and the park/surrounding areas were lovely. Close to Windermere and Ambleside

  • "Parking was much too tight for my car , had to park out on the carpark ."

Had a disabled person with us so the amount of steps were difficult . Last year I stayed at Damson lodge which was very easy . We didn’t arrive until night . It took 45 mins to find our lodge as it was pitch black . Some better signs that were lit would have been very helpful .Apart from that everything was fine . It would be an idea of having electric car charging points that people can book for the duration of the stay . Also the hot tub needs maintenance . It is quite old and the jets only occasionally worked , when pressing the button for the jets it was intermittent making a grinding noise . I deliberately ordered a lodge with a tub as I get a lot of use from them. However we could only use it occasionally. It was very frustrating . I think it needs replacing, and a refund of the extra cost of the hot tub should be reimbursed as there was no way of using it to its full ability . However most of the lodge was very clean . We had a problem with duvet covers . There were a lot of fine black//brown hairs on the duvet covers . We had to use a lint roller to remove them . However apart from that everything else was lovely . We have had a lovely stay . I have been to your park four times now and love the area .

  • "His property has some major maintenance issues, damp issues in the onsuite, issues when In 1st bedroom when the blind came down and hit my mother-in-law on the head causing minor injury also got locked in her bedroom when door handle came off, and she got stuck, the lack of maintenance checks needs lookign at, the remote control for the fire place was missing, hot tub not working properly one corner with no jets working we loved this lodge so much that I rebooked for the 2nd year, taken my in-laws away for there 50th wedding anniversary as we loved it last year, it just needs a good look at and some things improving a bit, the hot tub and location is the selling point and how private it is, is a huge selling point!"

This review is not a review against the owner who has been so understanding when have messaged with issues, just think they need to come more often and check the property.

  • "Exceeded our expectations."

We honestly couldn't have asked for better accommodation. Comfortable beds, kitchen with all you need, spacious living area and a hot tub to top it off. One small issue which was resolved by the owner within 5 minutes. A+

It is tucked away and private, very clean and well stocked, lovely decor, comfortable and a stones throw from the lake. We could not have asked for more, I can highly recommend this property.

  • "Lovely accommodation, as mentioned it could do with a boot or shoe box outside and some rubber floor mat or similar inside to prevent it getting messy, we used a boot liner from the car and it worked for us."

Could do with some updated utensils in the kitchen as we cooked in a lot and found them flimsy and some essentials missing. Hot tub was lovely after a wet day walking. Nice and clean inside and very comfy.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your feedback regarding the boot rack , mat and kitchen utensils. We make sure we update our lodge continually so will look into providing these items for future guests. Property Owner

  • "Property was well proportioned, very clean and well presented."

Had everything we needed. Somewhere to put shoes and coats would have been an improvement & the WiFi was not Good.Bit a minor detail of an otherwise enjoyable stay.

We do our best to keep the property well maintained so I’m glad you were happy with it. The WiFi can be difficult in this area of the Lakes for residents and holiday makers alike I’m afraid as we mention in the property details. Thank you very much for your positive review. Property Owner

  • "We have had a wonderful stay."

Our first holiday up north with our baby and dog. The accommodation was perfect, so cosy especially when the temperature dropped outside. The property is well maintained to a high standard. The furnishings are lovely and modern. More than enough storage space for families. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus to relax in after a day of walking and admiring the views. We normally visit Cornwall as we have family there, but we have now been converted to be regular visitors to the Lakes. We would definitely come back and stay here in this property, as we are keen to visit some time in the spring/summer months. Thank you for providing such lovely accommodation. We hope to come back soon!

Thank you so much for your lovely review . I’m pleased we’ve managed to convert you to a Lake District fan! We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful lodge in amazing settings, they was a few cobwebs present but other than that it was immaculate."

The hot tub was a lovely addition and perfect after a day walking the only things I would say is, they could do with some instructions for working the fire, the on suites door sticks and they is possibiliry of damp starting above the shower, apart from that it's a beautiful lodge and we will be booking again for next year.

Thank you for your review which is much appreciated. There are normally instructions in the information folder for all the appliances so I will make sure to put a new copy of the fire instructions in there for future guests . The shower has been checked and there is no issue but thank you for your comment. We look forward to welcoming you back next year. Property Owner

Lovely well equipped modern kitchen and great hot tub. Bedrooms were great with plenty of room for clothes. The only suggestion would be to have a coat rack or stand to hang outerwear and a shoe rack for shoes. Maybe hooks outside for wetsuits, towels etc.
