We had an amazing peaceful time The weather wasn’t very kind to us but it didn’t spoil a lovely few days This was our second visit and we hope to return

"Lovely peaceful stay with everything we needed."
Lots of walking opportunities in the surrounding area, which was exactly what we wanted. Pat and John were really kind and helpful.

The cottage was lovely and so comfortable we had a wonderful welcome from Pat and John, the wildlife around the cottage was fun to watch with a coffee in the mornings sitting in the garden would highly recommend the cottage as we loved it and will return

"A last minute booking at this beautiful cottage and garden."
Pictures don’t do it justice. Everything we liked. Isolation. Working Farm. Nature and wildlife. Plus the weather was great. We would have stayed for the full week but both come down with a virus and headed home early. Would love to return when the 2nd barn is finished.

"Although on a farm unit down a long farm track this is situated next to the owners cottage and is quite isolated."
The rooms are spacious although the first floor is reached via a narrow staircase. The kitchen is a little spoilt by an old cooker but it works fine. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a big garden area for those with a dog.
-
"We rented the property because we were under the impression that the garden was enclosed and therefore ideal for the dog."
This was not the case. It would be helpful to know that this is sheep country and dogs have to be under strict control. Apart from this the property was lovely and we would be happy to return

"This was our second visit and everything was fine ( apart from the weather!"

"We were made very welcome and felt comfortable in the house."
Everything we needed was there. We liked having lots of towels in the airing cupboard as holiday cottages often only give you a couple. The house was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of room outside for our dog to run about.
-
"A lovely home which is "Far from the madding crowd"."
A very tranquil and quiet location which gave us a very restful stay.

"My friend Neil and I had a lovely week."
The property is lovely and quiet, nicely decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is a lovely place to sit for breakfast. The owners are very nice, Pat recommend a place to eat where I discovered a dessert called lemon posset. I will hopefully visit again.
-
"Beautiful place so nice and peaceful, wonderful owners John and pat, we didn't want to leave."
Will definitely be back .

"The cottage was lovely and in a very quiet location."
An excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Pat and John were warm and welcoming hosts. The cottages was spotless and well furnished. The kitchen was a little too basic for our liking and would benefit from a more modern cooker/fridge freezer, but that’s just our personal preference. There was also a lack of large coffee mugs and glasses suitable for our G & T, but these are only a minor point. A lovely stay. Thank you

"We had a lovely time there, the owners Pat and John are very nice and helpful."
The cottage has a very large wood burner and a powerful high pressure shower, and is very easy access to Settle and Forest of Bowland.

"We had a wonderful week in the beautiful cottage."
The owners were really lovely and welcoming. Everywhere was spotless and very comfortable. Lovely walks from the property. We would definitely book this cottage again and would also highly recommend it. Thank you to Pat and John for being the perfect hosts.

"An excellent property in a superb position."
We could not ask for anything more.
-
"The cottage was comfortable and cosy."
It’s setting was isolated as stated but within a beautiful setting surrounded by uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire Dales. Would highly recommend the cottage if you are looking for a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle. Plenty of walks in the area and just a short distance from smaller villages or the larger town of Settle. Superb hosts too.

"Cottage was wonderful, really helpful host and spotlessly clean throughout."
We would love to return sometime.
-
"Absolutely perfect location."
Rural, peaceful and idyllic. Just what we wanted and the hosts were lovely. We were greeted upon arrival and just left to do our own thing. Wonderful countryside and the walks around the area are great. The only thing that I would consider in changing would be to update the cooker. Everything else was excellent.

"Great wildlife in the garden."
-
"Stunning setting in beautiful countryside."
Cottage very comfortable. Owners lovely and extremely helpful, went above and beyond when requesting information on the local area. Would definitely return.

"The location of the property was fantastic, with views from the cottage in all directions."
Fantastic location for us as extremely quiet and private, and being in between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland so lots of walking in those areas. We slept incredibly well and totally chilled out there.

"Very bad gravel and grass track on approach to cottage which was high and I caught my exhaust twice"

"We had a great experience at Woodlands."
Pat and John were charming hosts who had taken great care in the preparation of the cottage and were a mine of local information. The cottage was thoughtfully decorated and furnished and is situated in a remote and beautiful spot. We would definitely go back there. My only criticism of the experience was that we had previously booked accommodation closer to Skipton and, despite having paid in full, the property was withdrawn by the owners with only 3 weeks to departure. Had we withdrawn at that stage we would have lost our money but the Sykes contract does not penalise the owner in any way for our inconvenience. As it happened things worked out really well as we could not have improved on Woodlands. However the principle remains.

"Amazing cottage and friendly helpful hosts."
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone.
-
"Fantastic cottage - really spacious for us and our toddler."
A lovely farm setting. Location is fantastic - easy access to areas of interest and towns. Super farm shop in Skipton. Great discovery.
-
"Lovely cottage, great garden."
Lovely hosts, very friendly & helpful. Only slight complaints not enough work surface & cupboard space in kitchen. Very creeky floorboards upstairs. We still had a lovely 2 weeks at the Woodlands
