"Beautifully presented, clean and homely accommodation with everything needed for stay."
Plenty of room for our 3 teens and dog to have space to themselves. Great location for touring the Lakes and within easy walking distance of Lake Windermere. Always easy to find on street parking outside the property even for two cars. Friendly and helpful owners. Definitely recommend.
Thank you for your glowing review of Beckmead, we are delighted you and the family enjoyed the house. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Ed & Jen Property Owner

"What a gem."
Great accommodation and very well equipped. Lovely touch with welcome pack too. And as the weather was so brilliant we managed to eat at the very large table outside. Although the garden is secure for dogs there was one part where he managed to jump off the wall into next door. But we easily managed to barricade it to stop it happening again. Owners brilliant too as kept in touch by text and we were able to access the property earlier than expected. All in all a great weekend and would definitely stay again.
Delighted that you and the family had a lovely stay.....and the weather finally behaved. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Ed & Jen Property Owner

"Our group of four adults and a dog stayed for three nights."
It was perfect for us, great house, spacious, clean, warm and well equipped, we loved everything about it. Lovely welcome pack on arrival which we thought was a nice touch Great location to walk into Windermere or Bowness We had the best time and hope to book again towards the end of the year.

"Really nice house in a great location."
The house itself is really nice inside, the two reception rooms were great, especially with kids. Really nice lounge, dining room and kitchen. Showers were good. The only negative was the double bed in the Jacob room was a small double and I didn’t find it very comfortable. Also the lock mechanism on the front door was a bit dodgy and came loose but I did manage to screw it back on. Would definitely recommend this house.
We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Also, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and bringing the lock issue to our attention. We've addressed the lock, which was an odd one as it had only been replaced 2 months previously. We hope to see you again in the future. Ed & Jen Property Owner

"We had a lovely time at Beckmead."
The property is in a great location being just a few minutes walk into Windermere town and only around 20 minutes from Bowness and there are some lovely walks on the doorstep. It was really well equipped, clean and spacious and the enclosed garden was great for the dogs. The welcome basket was also a lovely addition.

"Lovely welcoming house that was a little oasis for us."
Plenty of downstairs space with nice little touches to make the place luxurious but homely. Parking never an issue, 5 mins walk to the centre of town it is the perfect rental and we would certainly stay again.

"Great property."
Very comfortable and warm. We both loved it and would book again in the future. Only slight downslide for the times when it was raining, The broadband speed could do with being a bit higher as streaming services and freesat tended to buffer.
Thank you for the great feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. We are waiting for fibre to be installed and live, at which point we will be upgrading. Ed &Jen Property Owner

"We had a fantastic time at Beckmead."
It's a beautiful property, well maintained and equipped. We were lucky enough to have great weather, and found this to be a perfect base. We were a little concerned before we went about on street parking, but even though we stayed over Bank Holiday we were able to park directly opposite the house every day. Beds and sofas all comfortable, and good bathrooms (read the instructions in the visitors book about the upstairs showers as you have to press a button to get them hot!). We would certainly recommend this cottage and would happily stay there again.
Thank you for your kind comments, we are so pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you again. The Lakes Cottage Holidays Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"We had a wonderful week at Beckmead (despite the soggy weather) The house was lovely, and immaculate on arrival."
Really warm and cosy which was very welcome on a cold wet winters night. It was far more spacious than it looks in photos, and was a great plus having our own ensuites, as there was 6 of us in total. The kitchen was one of the best equipped we've been to...and the welcome basket was very high quality and generous too!! Only a 15 minute walk to the lake in either direction, some local people told us of some good dog walks, which we will definitely try next time. We never met the hosts, but they were brilliant at answering any queries we had....thanks again Ed and Jen for sharing your lovely home with us. We will return, Ruth and family xx
