  • "Just got back from staying at Brightwater."

We couldn't ask for anything more. Everything was there. There was a leak in the hot tub but I just called and it was fixed. Just maybe a couple of changes. A privacy fence just were the hot tub is would be nice as next door has a small decking balcony next to the hot tub. A blind up at the en- suite bathroom. And maybe a couple of cupboards in the kitchen cleared out so we can put food in them rather than in the sides. I didn't want to start moving things about. If these could be done then perfect. Lodge was so comfy l. We was out walking all day and coming back to home comforts was a bonus. Thanks for letting us stay x

  • "On arrival at reception weren't very helpful when they knew we d booked with sykes ,arrival at the lodge it was clean and tidy and plenty of room for 4 adults and a frenchie."

It was well equipped for our needs and the hot tub was a lovely addition. The decking is probably ready for knew coat of preserve but it was nice to sit out on when the sun shone and the dog loved it. My only gripe is possibly swapping the curtains for blinds as when opened the curtains don t give you much privacy especially in the bedrooms. But overall a great stay and location.

Thank you for your lovely feedback and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Brightwater Lodge. We agree It is set in a lovely sunny location, And benefits from the close proximity to the lake. We hope to accommodate you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful lodge, lovely and clean."

The only thing we could of done with is black bags for the bins, as we are required to take bins out before we leave.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Brightwater Lodge. A roll of black bags is normally in the kitchen drawer. I'll mention to maintenance to pop some more in. Property Owner

  • "Arrived for a 3 night stay, to find used and dirty shaving razors in the bathroom We then had no hot water from 4pm on the Friday until 4pm on the Sunday, to say Sykes and the Owner of this property were useless is being polite Excuses made several times, actually told lies saying a plumber had been to the property while we were out."

Yet the security devices we took with us had no recordings of anyone actually attending, either in or outside We have another booking with Sykes for later in the year and have cancelled that As for this property, do yourself a favour and book a different lodge. This one is better suited to a refugee camp, not a holiday let - STAY AWAY

we are sorry that you are disappointed with your stay at Brightwater Lodge. We have had a look and it appears that you called us at 7:30pm, we attended at 9am the next morning, it was found that the reason the boiler was not heating was because it had been altered and was user error, this was verified by the plumber. As owners we take pride in our lodge and maintain it to the highest standard. Any Issues are dealt with by an experienced team and It is extremely upsetting to read untruths regarding our accommodation. Property Owner

  • "Another amazing stay at Brightwater Lodge."

We have been before, few times last year and we are coming back again soon. The Brightwater Lodge is modern, spotlessly clean and spacious in a quiet part of the White Cross Bay, only a few meters from the Lake. It has everything we needed, plenty of glasses, pans, pots and plates. The heating in the lodge is very good and of course amazing hot tub - never had any problems with anything/ Fantastic place to stay. Can't wait for our next visit in March.

Thank you so much for everything.

  • "Disgusted with this owner and Sykes."

Property was dirty, chipped crockery 3 desert spoons only. It was cold due to the heating being off all day and no access to put it on. It was a hot tub wkend and the hot tub was luck warm. The owners knew it was a problem as the last guests review sited the same issue and maintenance told us they were waiting for a new panel to be fitted. The maintenance staff added a little hot water in the mornings and it was too cold to use by the evenings. I will never book with Sykes ever again neither will my family. Absolute waist of money . It was expensive to begin with before we arrived and found o utterly miserable the whole weekend. Shame on the owners

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. As owners we take pride in our lodge and following your comments I had a deep inspection completed. We found the lodge clean ,Comfortable and also fully equipped.. with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The heating is turned down in-between guests to conserve energy, but once turned on the lodge is lovely and warm within 15 minutes. Unfortunately the hot tub did have an issue. We pride ourselves on our customer satisfaction. So are deeply disappointed that you didn't appear to enjoy any part of your stay. Fortunately we have many very happy guests who choose to return year after year. equipped with all necessary equipment. Unfortunately plates do occasionally get chipped. Property Owner

  • "Lovely lodge."

would use again, as long as the following issues are addressed. water temp was set too low, resulting in luke warm showers and baths, etc. boiler is behind locked door, so no access to adjust thermostat, although heating throughout was tremendous. hot tub was out of use and broken throughout. had maintenance out twice but they were unable to fix it. we felt sorry for the people following us. apart from that, the lodge served us well

Thank you so much for review, We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back. We agree that Brightwater is a lovely warm cosy lodge, in a beautiful location on the park. We are very sorry that the hot tub was out of use. With is being constantly used occasionally issues arise and parts need replacing. Our maintenance team do everything possible to rectify any issues as quickly as possible. We hope that we can accommodate you again in the future and would love to offer you a hamper on arrival if you choose to return. Kind regards Tina Unfortunately with the hot tub being in constant use occasionally parts need replacing. This has now been addressed. Property Owner
