  • "Had a great week in this lodge."

Balcony is a massive bonus and the accommodation itself was nice and modern. A few minor issues such as no plug in kitchen sink, one single bed looked liked it hadn’t been changed (hairs on sheets) and a few dirty glasses. The toilet roll holder also came off after first attempt to use. All things we could get on with and that didn’t spoil our stay

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are pleased that you had an enjoyable stay in Coldfell Lodge. We take all comments on board, and will pass them onto the relevant teams to ensure that they are looked at. We hope to welcome you back again. Would be a good idea to mention these are included . Also only one bath and hand towel per person for a 3 night stay could do with 2 bath towels per person but we managed. By the way Lovley towels

Amazing number of moths appeared daily. Excellent lodge modern and clean. En suite shower was just perfect after a day in the mountains. Nice and spacious. Never did find my way around the site. Total maze. could do with a few more simple signs.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Coldfell Lodge, the location was great, it was really comfortable and had everything you needed."

Loved the extra touches like the blankets to snuggle under and the supply of board games. We did however have to reorganise the kitchen cupboards a bit to find a place to store any food! And the bathrooms let the lodge down unfortunately and need a bit of attention. Otherwise it would have been a 5*

  • "Full lodge is in desperate need of a deep clean especially in both bathrooms."

Sheets on bed in master bedroom were old and bobbley TV in sitting room very old and small and needs updating. Roof full of green moss which gives it an untidy appearance could be scraped or jet washed off. Outside table at French doors full of fag ash.

  • "Lovely caravan in a lovely quiet spot."

Very nice touch of being able to use the gym swimming pool as we wouldn't have liked to use the one on site, full of children and inflatables! Only niggle is the showers aren't great, and every time you turn hot water on there is a horrendous banging noise comes from the boiler (just making you aware so it can be checked). We solved it by showering at the gym daily instead after swimming. Site is amazing and the location was perfect. 100% will absolutely come back.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Coldfell Lodge. We will pass your comments onto our Maintenance team regarding the showers/ boiler and will ask them to investigate. We hope to welcome you again. Property Owner

It’s location was nice and quiet. Wi-Fi signal was poor as described and this is out of the owners control. However mobile 4G was acceptable and we linked this to our autistic sons tablet so he could play Minecraft so no dramas. Great to have a bath which the kids love. First time we’ve had this in a lodge. Location is perfect between Ambleside and Windermere / Bowness. Also we used the local health club pool for free so didn’t need to pay for the Parks pass to use theirs. Park pass is available at a charge.

  • "Absolutely incredibly."

Could not find a single fault besides the fact we didn’t stay longer. For the price I would have like maybe 2 more days 1 night. Other than that it was spectacular. Will defiantly be returning in the summer. Beautiful scenery and a stunning location. Our cabin was right on a bend and very secluded, great privacy and couldn’t ask for a better spot. 10 minutes from Windermere and 15-20 from Ambleside. Arriving on the Friday the staff at reception were lovely and answered every question I asked. Giving a direct route on a map. For the size of the site once you know your bearings it’s easy to navigate. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away.
