"We had a fantastic week at Elton’s Escape."
The caravan is well equipped and clean and a real home from home. It’s in a super location on site not far from the marina and entertainment complex, but far enough away that it is peaceful. Listen out for the owls in the evening. It’s worth taking a torch with you if like us you need to walk a dog at night as the site is quite dark - great for stargazing! Useful outdoor tap for washing off the dog after walking muddy hills. Glad we took plenty of towels and blankets as the caravan was beautiful and we would have hated to take muddy paw prints in with us. Shop on site is well stocked with essentials, food in the restaurant is good and it was dog friendly which helped us. We didn’t use the pool but it looked ok. Overall, a really lovely site and a great caravan. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again.

"We had a lovely few days."
The accommodation is all brand new and very clean. With 3 x small children the space worked well. In terms of facilities on the site there is an extra charge to use the Park Dean pool which has quite restricted swimming times. The pool at the health club( included in the price but a short drive away) is not very kid friendly, just worth planning ahead to be around for the swimming times at Park Dean. We had some nice days out; boat on Windermere, Brockholes and a bit of a drive but Lowther castle is brilliant for kids.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We take all comments on board. Thank you- The Lake District Lodge Holidays Owner Relations Team Property Owner
