Credit to the owner.We would have returned again next March for my birthday but unfortunately it is booked for that duration.No doubt we will return again as we think it’s most comforting and extremely homely.

"The lodge was lovely, very clean and perfect for our stay."

It is a great location for exploring the lakes and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were very lucky with the weather. The on site pub seemed to be hugely understaffed on the one night we went there waiting 1.5hrs for our meal. Thank you for a lovely week

"This was our 2nd stay at Esthwaite Lodge and have already booked another stay for next year."

The lodge was clean and comfortable, it’s quite obvious that the owner takes huge pride in it. Fantastic position on site, overlooking the beck which is very relaxing to listen to. Huge decking and lots of quality outdoor furniture. The welcome gift of chocolates and wine were a lovely treat and very appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay

"Lovely.place."

"A lovely clean, comfortable and well appointed lodge."

The position over the beck, looking over the field, was perfect.The only downside for us was the size of the fridge/Freezer and the lack of a washing machine. Would love to return. Thank you.

The cleanliness to us is very impressive especially all the kitchen appliances etc everything is clean and you have everything you could need . Lovely touch from the owner leaving her guests a lovely bottle of wine and chocolates much appreciated thank you Brenda .

"WOW! what a gorgeous lodge!"

We all had a brilliant stay. The lodge had everything you need and more with really comfy beds and excellent quality facilities. The cleanliness was outstanding!! The site was lovely and peaceful with some lovely local walks, a welcoming pub and very close to travel to lake Windermere. Would definitely stay again! Thank you! )

"This lodge is the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in."

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. I struggle with back problems and found the furniture and bed really comfortable which is a massive bonus for me! We had fantastic weather and sitting on the decking listening to the beck was so relaxing. Thanks for the wine and chocolates, a lovely touch and very much appreciated. We booked our stay for next year before we left! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge.

"We had a lovely week at esthwaite lodge !"

We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived as the lodge was cleaned to a high standard which is a high priority for us! Great outside decking with comfortable outdoor furniture! The owner obviously cares about her guests experience and for this we would love to visit again! Thank you!

"Lodge and location were as described and very clean and comfy."

Not much information provided on the park which would be helpful. Limited park facilities however as not much information in description there were no expectations of any particular facilities. Lodge was in a great location and welcome gifts were a lovely addition. Would recommend and would return in future. Customer service staff were excellent in helping when one of the party was unable to travel and gave confidence and reassurance for the rest of the party being able to go ahead with the holiday.

The property

Settled on the Limefitt Holiday Park in Troutbeck, Esthwaite Lodge is a wonderful holiday home for four guests seeking a scenic break to the Lake District.

Make your way up the steps on your arrival and onto the lovely decked area before stepping inside to find the family bathroom on the right of the hallway, home to a bath with an overhead shower, basin and WC, along with a heated towel rail so you can freshen up following a busy day of activities.

Continuing along the corridor, come to the master double bedroom where you can unpack your things into the ample storage, and benefit from the en-suite shower room, as well as a twin room here too.

Relax in the open-plan living space, home to a modern fitted kitchen equipped with everything you need on a self-catered stay including the addition of a washing machine.

Come together around the dining table when tucking into tasty home-cooked meals, before retiring to the sitting area on the plush sofas to watch a film on the large Smart TV.

Enjoy the sunshine outside on the spacious decking with outdoor dining furniture for dinner alfresco and sun loungers to soak up the sun, all whilst the running stream provides an idyllic soundtrack to your stay.

The park is home to a pub on-site, Haybarn Inn, offering the perfect spot for drinks and dinner after another day of adventures, whilst the village of Troutbeck Bridge nearby is home to local shops and more pubs to enjoy.

Discover a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy in the Lake District, including fishing, watersports, cycling, walking, horse-riding and wildlife watching, so there's something for everyone.

Embark on epic walks up the surrounding peaks and fells, or enjoy circumnavigating the myriad of lakes and reservoirs.

Lake Windermere is a haven for watersports including paddle-boarding, canoeing, kayaking and sailing, and regularly has Windermere cruises heading up and down the lake to take you to the other towns resting on the water like Lakeside, Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere.

Visit The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, head to Brockhole on Windermere for fun for all ages, or marvel at the many creatures in the Lakes Aquarium.

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge.
